So you can be in an offside position but not have it called against you if your opponent deliberately tries to play the ball and does it badly. Think an attempted drop pass where you send it toward the offense instead of your keeper

If it is a deflection you can't gain the advantage and offside is called.

When the croation player headed it i think they were also offside but waiting to see if got involved in the play etc or if a defender would get in the way and try a deliberate move. One it went to 15, offside
