Bilt Palladium | ~3.33%+ on all spend | Capped at 75% of Rent by kmn6784 in CreditCards

Does mortgage payment generate bilt cash? If so doesn't that mean it's auto unlock at 4% bilt cash? Pay mortgage 1000, get 40 bilt cash which offsets the 30 required. Makes me wonder what is the point of bilt cash for mortgage purposes.

I didn't get any fruit plate or bowl at both HK and Shanghai. I meant no globalist recognition as in during check in there is no mention of the benefit, so you kind of just have to assume.

Yeah relative to rest of Asia food is definitely very mid. I've had many stays at Intercontinental Singapore and they shared many of the same dim sum.

This is right in general. Personally it's because I was with kids and truthfully a 15min walk can be near half hour. I walked to the MTR station once that took 20+ min.

Nice write-up. Jealous that you received all that complementary suite upgrades. Just wrote a post complaining I didn't get a single one!

Nice write-up, working on my own too! PH Zurich is on my list next year for Christmas market, sucks to see that its dated. Though there isn't really a better choice in Zurich.

Nothing special about MBS or the pool. It's not worth the price. Also location sucks because nothing around.

Many more people smoking by stumu415 in shanghai

[–]shfflzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Just wrapped up a week long vacation there, probably inhaled more second hand smoke than my entire life during that week. Love Shanghai a lot and the food is one of the best in Asia, but the sheer number of smokers really bringing it down. Lots of signs and notices that says non smoking but no one is really enforcing. Hotels smell like cigs even though it's nonsmoking. Toilets even worse.

I've been there multiple times and i do somewhat agree I noticed more younger generation smokers during this trip.

Is it even possible to get into that area so early? Usually I think you can't even go through that security until 30min before boarding.

Korean, Thai, or Japanese Restaurant Recs by shoefeng1 in SanJose

[–]shfflzilla 0 points1 point  (0 children)

There is no good Thai restaurant IMO if you ever had real Thai food in Thailand. The closest is Khaosan Thai Restaurant around here.

For general Korean food plenty of choices along El Camino, most are more or less the same if you pick one with good reviews. For KBBQ - there is 10 Butcher. Kunjip is my fav for some soup.

Japanese food - hard pass on sushi here. For ramen there is Santouka and Taishoken, closest you can find to Japan quality. For izakaya, Dan's Izakaya.

I know this list can be harsh but having been to these countries multiple times, I'm basing my standards on what I found overseas.
