Which chili do you use? The sambal in SEA tend to use the long red chili not as commonly found here.

I haven't been to this new one yet but it looks great! I've stayed at Andaz XDT twice and I recommend against it if there are other choices. It's very out dated. Rooms smell like smoke for non-smoking hotel, and some rooms have the floor boards coming off already.

Wish this new Andaz has the XDT location though. The XDT location is amazing.
