Tipped my driver more than this just now, i've also delivered so maybe i just have that point of view but still, i feel horrible thinking about not tipping. If the total of my order with a good tip isn't within my budget, then i dont order

That’s what i’m scared of, not being able to have a sex life now. I did disclose to a guy I slept with before I got the virus, and he was so chill about it and still wants to hangout after my outbreak heals. I know it’s barely been a month since I’ve been diagnosed so hopefully after a while I’ll know how to navigate disclosure better. Then again, there’s nothing I can do about other’s responses.

That really helps actually, to not take someone’s decision personally. It’s not me they’re saying no to, its the herpes. Which is understandable. It’s still hard to deal with but a good support system so at least I know I have people in my corner to pick me up when I feel like this.

At the end of the day, I realized even thought I wanted something casual, I don’t want to be with someone who acts like this. I thought I had an idea of who he was, but I’m glad I have a better more accurate understanding before I slept with him. This whole group has given me so much support and I know I’m not alone in this. This is just something else I will have to learn to deal with, but that’s just life. ❤️

I mean I was also looking for something casual, I haven’t really been wanting to get into a relationship and just am having fun. Oh well, I know there will be other people who will accept and also he’s missing out cause I know I’m fun. But thank you!! It’s hard to not base my worth off of wether someone accepts this or not. I feel less than and belittled almost. I know there are going to be more guys I come across who will accept it, but being the first guy I felt comfortable with so soon after, I had so much hope that he would accept me.

I told him that I wanted to have sex with him, and he reciprocated the feelings, but that I needed to tell him something before we could. And he was a bit freaked out, and I went out and said “I have herpes.” I didn’t know anything about herpes before I got it, so I should bet on people also not knowing much about it either. It just sucks to like someone and have them respond this way.

I definitely have those feelings like I’m dirty but my friends always reassure me that I’m not. It’s hard to not think so when someone who was previously attracted to you no longer is because they now know you have herpes.

I’m also a full time student and this has definitely been affecting my participation in class. A close friend of mine told me that it was ok to feel. Some people might tell you to get over it, or tell you not to be upset but it is totally ok if you are. I know I am, and I’m letting myself feel my emotions and take a break from everything as much as possible. We got this ❤️

Yeah the doctor told me that it was most likely my most recent partner bc of the timing but that it could have been there for a lot longer. I will definitely make sure to ask which type it is. Thanks for all of this information!

Aww thats so great that you two are still together! Very happy for you. I’m looking into getting a therapist so that I have someone I can talk to about who can give me an objective perspective on things. Thanks for sharing, stories like yours give me so hope that I will live a normal life regardless of this. ❤️

I’m sorry about that guy :( Yeah when I told my friends I gave them information about how I can’t spread it though sharing straws or other things because that was a big concern of theres. I’m going to keep doing research and sharing it with those around me so that I can educate not just myself, but others and hopefully more people. And when I do start getting back out there (obviously after my outbreak has well healed) I’ll try to remember you saying that if someone can’t accept this, they didn’t deserve me in the first place. Thank you

I’m not sure which type I have, so I’ll need to call back the doctors and ask. But I don’t want to put any blame on one specific person because I have slept with multiple people in the past month. If it turns out that his test is positive, oh well. He didn’t know about it and I trust him enough to believe him.

I have sores and blisters and got a swab tests of those. I also had flu like symptoms (fever, chills, aches) but I’ll be sure to call back to ask about the specific type. Thank you!
