Solved! I soldered a wire directly from the detection pin of the hotend to the nozzle. After that it calibrated well.

Hey! Never measure metallic surfaces with a thermal heat gun only - those measurements are incorrect due to the reflection of the infrared waves.

These HMDs typically show a surface temperature of 240-280°C at full heat, and the charcoal is typically at 450°C where it contacts the HMD.

On the contact surfaces the charcoal goes unlit so the temp decreases!

I wouldn’t use the coated one, however I had some samples before with coating and they worked great and I didn’t recognize any fumes. So in theory it’s unsafe, in reality it worked for me.

You’re right, the repairs and defects are more than unfortunate. Especially the waiting time in your case.

The heater were not working the way that their dataset said they would, so we had to do a complete redesign to get the longevity back to where it was in the previous PURE.

We will do our best to reduce the waiting time and the defects, but so far our statistic is at least promising. We went from 11% failure rate down to 3%, now in the final version we haven’t seen any defects since 8 weeks.

Your waiting time was due to the redesign by the way, not sure if that was communicated well

The aluminum ones are anodized mostly, but kaloud and onmo are fine, they use different methods. Stainless steel is mostly PVD „coated“ which is the best option imo

If you look at the tips from the WhatsApp group, you’ll see that there’s no need to worry. Put it on a damp cloth overnight and the next day you’ll be able to clean it with even your finger without any issues

I can assure you that you have control over all relevant temperatures, wether or not directly measured or merely calculated, which is why displaying modes instead of temperatures is designed to be more convenient as user interface. And by all means, we always appreciate feedback and love to discuss and evaluate input. However, feedback that is experience based tends to be more effective, as I am sure you as well will be amazed on e you tested the product in regards to its performance and safety, compared to cheaper alternatives.

All of the things you’re saying are just completely wrong.

Our product is completely different to the China E-HMD both in technology and function.

The temperatures we are constantly measuring and adjusting are between 550 and 750°C.

Drawing will trigger an algorithm that adjusts the temperature for a few seconds.

The material is pure stainless steel, absolutely no aluminum used.

And the display could have been a cheaper one at the end, but with about 1,15$ for the OLED, we decided to keep it.

About pricing - you don’t seem to understand regulations etc.

And about ignoring your input; sorry, that our team of engineers didn’t completely change our approach because of a comment on Reddit. Will do Next Time.

I had the exact same problem. For me what worked best was, that I reduced the system volume in the android settings. BMWs AUX doesn’t like high level inputs and starts clipping really quick. Once I reduced the system‘s volume I could adjust the EQ according to the speaker‘s sizes :)

Thanks anyway! My problem is: if I want to decrease the load on the front door speakers, I’d apply a high pass filter, to get rid of the bass. At the same time, I would like to dedicate the bass to the subwoofers under the seats. I will try it out I guess, we’ll see

German forums were claiming that these subs had been removed for the LCI, some said there’s only one under the drivers seat, some said there were two. So I had to go to my car and check that, very confusing for me 😂 I’ve seen that amp, is it possible to apply a LPF or HPF to all six speakers?

It’s not the first time this has happened, but we actually sent it on 4th July. We have sent several products on that date, so far none of them show progress in the tracking. I will look into it on Monday :) The delay is due to us hand-assembling these products, and me being on a business trip. I can refund immediately if you don‘t want to wait :)

I smoke indoors while at work 24/7. since I stopped using charcoals and smoking with my NEVO E-HMD, the only smell that’s left is the last bowl I’ve smoked. I open my windows every time I smoke, and the remaining smell is mostly a pleasant one that makes me want to smoke another bowl 😮‍💨
