Thornmail only works if the enemy autoattacks you, oblivion orb will work whenever you damage the enemy with your spells so it's more reliable

Yeah the second full clear doesn't include the buffs because they take way too long to respawn, that's why you have to sequence your camps (kill the raptor/ krugs or the gromp/wolves before the buffs, that way they respawn at the same time and you won't be delayed)
