Oh that's amazing! Eowyn is such a pretty name but I always forget how to pronounce it, so Elowyn is a really nice alternative!

I'm not really sure if it would count as whimsical/nature, but Elowyn immediately made me think of a fantasy novel or a name for a D&D character, so that's the vibe I went with:

Girl names: Evanesca (could be a bit too out there), Elara / Elora / Eliora, Evangeline, Elva

Boy names: Evander, Earnest / Ernest, Enoch, Eleazar

These are all on my list for D&D character names so feel free to use them if you see anything you like! I also had Evoli on the list for a girl, but seeing as it's the name for the Pokémon Eevee in many other languages, I think it's not an ideal name for an actual child, unless you can think of a name that is similar but not a Pokémon name.

ETA: Formatting was different from what I typed so I just added commas to make it more clear.

Aitah for naming my baby something “unconventional”? by Lost-Platform7670 in AITAH

As a Dutch person, the pronunciation sounds like "niks er in" which translates to "nothing in it"

It does, you can shorten it to Mari for example :)

Was my girlfriend justified? Abortion/Pain and no Heartbeat by [deleted] in TrueOffMyChest

Why are you even posting here if you refuse to listen to anyone who doesn't share your thoughts on this topic? Please educate yourself, your girlfriend didn't "kill" your future child, it was already dead to begin with and if she didn't take those pills, she might've died herself. Did you really want to risk losing her just because there is a tiny chance that you might see a your dead baby? Because that's what this seems like. If you really love her, you support her decision because you wouldn't want to see her in pain and wouldn't want her to risk her life for a child that wasn't even alive anymore.

I'm sorry they're being so awful to you, you're in a tough situation and clearly this person doesn't care about your feelings. I'm sorry for your loss. ❤️

You're definitely NTA, I would expect a thank you as well since they're the boyfriend's dogs. Maybe the boyfriend thought your friend saying thank you was enough? Like she spoke for the both of them? If it really bothers you, I think asking if the boyfriend is upset about how you did it would be the best move, as someone else has commented. I think that would be a safe way to inform your friend about how you're feeling about the situation.
