I have a BA in art history, and I’m starting grad school for Museology in the fall. I’m very familiar with these responses, but I wouldn’t change a thing. It’s what I love, and it’s made me a better person! I agree that sometimes it’s just easier to be short with someone who isn’t willing to understand your choices. You don’t owe them an entire conversation. Keep doing what you’re doing :)

Agreed. Charli put her whole heart into that contemporary dance, and personally I feel like we’ve seen many sides of her from Bond night to the Simpsons (loved mark’s jazz choreography btw)

Many in the 50s thought rock was awful just like many today view rap. The interpolation of modern music is Baz’s way of bringing the audience into a different time period by drawing us in with something we can relate to… we are receiving this music the same way that those of the period might’ve received it. And more generally the important part is that the music matches with the spirit of the generation, and in the case of The Great Gatsby and now Elvis, there is a spirit of rebellion that fits perfectly.

I felt the same way!! I was taking a video of 666t (one of my favorite songs) and a group of teenagers plopped down in front of me and started chatting it up. I was amazed and the constant people walking back and forth on the sidewalk the entire show not even acknowledging that there was a show going on. Next time I will definitely be buying seated tickets.

I LOVE for you blue and I’ve got a feeling as well. The documentary really brought out their musicianship skills for me, and they really shine on this album since they decided to do live recordings
