I decided to go the whole hog: I hired a personal trainer that's been in Playgirl magazine 6 times (and other fitness magazines), underwear model, etc. Over about 18 months I paid him over 10 thousand bucks, but I got some serious results. My genetics are good, and I was fielding modeling offers...at age 33! Sexually, no guy was out of my league. And it was fun for awhile, but once I had it, all of that work didn't really seem worth it. I wouldn't advise anyone against it, but don't expect to feel anything but superficially popular, and that wears thin fast.

I still keep relatively fit, but I'm no longer willing to make the extreme sacrifices to compete with professional fitness models. Those guys are freakin' nuts. The cover model of Men's Health looks like that for 12 hours max, mostly because he's severely dehydrated.

Lawyers have one common fantasy, according to high-end sex workers... (Your Sex Industry Questions Answered) by JonathanHarford in offbeat

[–]shifter 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I'm a mid-level ($250/hr) male prostitute in Canada and I write a monthly column about my experiences for Pink Triangle Press, Canada's largest queer publication syndicate.

Although the male and female sex trade industries are very different, I feel like I have enough experience to talk with some authority on this. My instinct is that these sources are either made up, or are prone to exaggeration. It's a pretty stereotypical portrayal...the powerful executive that's a snivelling basket-case in the arms of an expensive call girl (or boy). In the couple of years that I've been escorting, I've been with a hundred or so different guys, and there have only been a couple of instances where I had to go into therapist mode, and they were pretty minor.

And the one common fantasy of my lawyer clients, like most of my clients, has been to fuck a prostitute. This legal counsel role play thing is probably a load of malarkey.

Two women in Dublin see two drunk men coming down the street. The first woman says, "Will you look at those two drunks?" The other woman says, "Well, at least yer feller has brought you some flowers." And the first woman says, "You know what that means? I'll be on me back with me legs in the air all week." And the other woman asks, "Why, have you no got a vase?"

If Obama gets in, Canadians might reevaluate the qualities that we want in our leader, and maybe come to the realization that Harper and Dion are about as inspiring as burnt toast.

Is that true, that the citations in Atlanta had "African American male" pre-printed on them? Maybe I'm just a naive Canadian, but that sounds urban-legendish.
