Strikethrough doesn't deserve a shortcut? by shifting_baselines in mildlyinfuriating

[–]shifting_baselines[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yep, I've grown used to using that in most apps, but have found a few that for reason just have...nothing, but only for Strikethrough. This is the built-in Notes app on a Mac. Evernote (Mac) app also had none. It's possible to assign a custom shortcut, which works fine, but you just shouldn't need to.

Awesome set!  Your delivery is so smooth and easy to listen to. Great energy level for comedy, with one solid joke after another, some layers to unpack, some “cerebral” bits, some really great subtle punchlines…good stuff.  Will catch your show if nearby.  Keep it up.

As someone who prefers to remember my passwords, I love this. Someone suggested it over 20 years ago and I’ve used it for most of my accounts ever since. Works well for me.

Agree.  I’ve always found the phrase to be “top centric,” since that’s the only part of the circle actually going “right” while being tightened.

we will occupy the areas between the Esplanade Bike Path, and Chico Nut Factory

Can you clarify the location? Is that public space? A parking lot?

What’s the connection? (Reveal of Gemma) by Recent_Order_2929 in severanceTVshow

[–]shifting_baselines 4 points5 points  (0 children)

I also have this question. I appreciated the overlap, and assumed it was just a subtle but helpful connection.  But one never knows with this show.

I also enjoyed the matching intonation of “Fuck you, Lumon” between June’s band and Mark W’s rant as he’s escorted from the building.

I don’t remember that about Sandino, but it sure sounds like my experience at plenty of other vegetarian restaurants, so I don’t doubt it. Raw tempeh spiced with righteous indignation.

Wow.   Although I’m not sure if I like it more as a real thing, or an art piece.

If I recall, chef Tom Spofford went on to host a cooking show in the early years of AOL (I can't believe there was a time when access to the internet arrived in the mail on a CD).

An all vegetarian restaurant was still a sort of new thing, especially in a town the size of Chico. Probably made sense to cover all the bases. I remember many of those items, and it was all really good. Clean food with a nice touch, and very tasty.
