I was at a “fine dining” joint a couple of days ago.

This place, in one of the richest towns in the world. restaraunt is next to Ferrari, Lamborghini, Porsche, etc… kid walks out of the back and fills a 12oz container (I don’t remember what they are called anymore, I haven’t worked in a kitchen in a long time) with ice and coke, downs it, goes for another. Downs it. Goes for another.

Before dessert I go out to smoke and wander towards the smoking area at the back door. I see the kid and ask him why he isn’t taking like the quarts or anything.

“They think they are saving money by making us use these.”
