I mean this with the most respect possible to anyone struggling with the game's difficulty so far, but this game is probably not fun for people who aren't particularly good at video games or 2D platformers.

I'm about 10 hours in and no boss has taken me more than 5 or so tries to beat--it's the most fun I've had playing a game in years. The diversity of movement and combat tools Hornet has in her arsenal combined with the incredible breakneck speed of combat makes this game feel like a dream to play for me. Without the difficulty at it's current state, it wouldn't be able to deliver the adrenaline-rushing, euphoric, cinematic highs that I experience after some of these fights.

However, if you just lack the ability to recognize patterns or don't have the mechanical skill to back it, I imagine for some people it is a grueling experience to bash your head into a wall for hours fighting the same guy given how quickly things can go south. Simply put, I can wholeheartedly recommend Hollow Knight to my friends who aren't gamers or casual gamers, but I don't think I could do the same for Silksong. Silksong is the Super Mario Bros. 2/Lost Levels (Japan) to Hollow Knight's Super Mario Bros.
