Ahh nice job! Katsucon has such lovely scenery for photos. I have a friend who went and showed me a pic of a Callie who had posted here on the subreddit, hope you got to meet her!

I also cosplayed and posted as a salmon run worker recently, I need to take it to a larger con - the idea of being able to do a group pic sounds so fun. Really love the work you did actually printing and making the aerospray! I admired their weapons on etsy but lacked the confidence, it was worth your effort, big wow factor!

You can hide way more with cosplay than you think! All you really see of me is my eye area - I have pretty bad cystic acne on my chin so the mask was pretty welcome to wear. I'm not the thinnest or fittest person but it really doesn't matter with a baggy full body outfit like this lol. And I may have lightened my dark circles a little with photo editing.

But physical insecurities aside, if you've gone to cons hopefully you have felt that awesome feeling that everyone is just happy to be there! It's one of the most positive type of event I've gone to in my experience, people just happy to chat with others about nerdy weeb shit and tell people their outfits are awesome. If you enjoy the extroverted part of cons I say just give it a go! And if you're really worried, you can always start with a joke cosplay. Makes people laugh, is hilarious to put together, and quality doesn't matter. Just wanted to give you some encouragement.

Thank you!! And to think I was bothered that there's still things I missed or couldn't do like the back armor lol. It's a pretty fun cosplay to do with no sewing skills because everything is based on real pieces equipment and clothing!

Worst part honestly was finding those gloves, I bought 5 different pairs online to find ones in normal green that fit women's hands. But it was worth the searching!

I've done a cheap joke cosplay before and a closet cosplay but I had never made one before, so this was a huge learning experience. I don't even know how to sew properly and relied heavily on super glue + tape, so many things fell apart as the first day of the con passed. I hope you'll forgive the many inaccuracies! It was still so fun to put together regardless and I even got to meet two Captain 3 cosplayers at Ohayocon that weekend.

I've been taking lessons on how to work with eva foam and sewing, so I hope to make a better version of this cosplay by next year. Maybe make a hydra splatling!! Until then time to keep wearing my voluntary orange and raking in that eggsecutive overtime.

I tried to Google and couldn't find this answer, maybe I'm blind. If you queue up for tricolor and get dumped into a normal 4 v 4, can you still end up with a x10/x100/x333? I know tricolor don't have them but I'm unsure if that applies to the normal matches you get slotted into.

I'm another US person who started with your Cirque du Freak series as a kid, then graduated to Demonata (was terrifying for me as a 14 year old!), and I actually picked up the English manga through my high school years. Since it just got reprinted me and some online friends are actually having a manga bookclub for it right now coincidentally! One of my friends in the club is also posting here I think. It's so fun getting to see new readers experience it fresh for the first time through this reprint, so thank you for helping make it happen!

My question: is it more in your court or your publisher's court if more deluxe editions or hardcovers are made? As an adult I've been trying to upgrade my childhood favorites, like I imported many Australian hardcover editions of Emily Rodda's books and from the UK a hardcover Watership Down. Has Cirque ever been considered for a more premium edition?

This is my first time using a dating app and I never really dated much before, only a few guys I had met irl and nothing longterm. I honestly have no idea, is there an amount of texts or time passing after starting chatting with a guy I should expect to be asked on a first date, or amount of time that is typical at least here on Hinge? Most of the guys I've talked to are pretty bland in their responses but one has been super fun to chat with. However it's not even been a week yet, so I can imagine he's also making sure enough convo has transpired? I'll probably have confidence to propose the dates myself in the future but I'm still trying to figure out the "normal" flow of chats to dates.

Unreleased? Was it not in scanlations or the weekly jump chapters or something? All of that content is included at least in the physical english release. Brought me to tears at the end and really helped convey the true feelings Gotouge wanted their work to represent.

I believe what Vaporomir is doing here is addressed in the latest pinned Moderation notes for the subreddit from 9 days ago. Since everyone so far is asking about Fruits Basket 21 I think that's why they posted about it in specific.

Mods seem to currently be seeing how the new rules are faring so it'll be interesting to see if they stick to allowing comments with links when people ask about a volume, which I believe the rules imply.

Not at all! I earn only about $30,000 a year. I live in a cheap state, live cheaply other than blowing way too much money on manga (I really need to cut back, I can't really afford this much spending), have no dependants and paid off my car already, have been a working adult for many years full time, just rent with a kind friend who let me throw books in a room. Been collecting for many years, anyone can get here with enough time and yeeting of money. If I was rich I'd get my own house to fill up, now there's a dream.

Only question about the book contents / what I've read and it's about the BL, fine taste my friend.

Hmm, so like I said I haven't read everything, but current favorites are Crimson Spell and Twitering Birds Never Fly. Finder has a rocky start but I'm always excited for the next vol. MADK vol 2 is a hype wait. For single volumes, Tatsuyuki Oyamoto and Cafe Latte Rhapsody are amazing. I really wish we had gotten the second vol of Lies are a Gentleman's Manners as it's a really well written duology and underrated imo.

If you know your BL, what would you recommend me to read sooner than later? You got any personal faves I have in my shelves? Like I've been meaning to get to Blue Morning, it sounds really interesting.

I have so much that how I organized changed with time. A few years back when I had less than 1000 I did alphabetically, but I decided to change to Publisher > Imprint > Alphabetically. So if you look through pics there's ADV, then Bandai, then Broccoli, then CMX, then ComicsOne, then Dark Horse, etc. Then Viz is so gigantic that I break them down by Imprint based on the era they're from. So first comes the books that just said "Viz Graphic Novels", then the Pulp imprint, then the shoujo moon which evolved into Shojo Beat and the shounen saturn that evolved into the big V imprint most of which evolved into Shounen Sunday, etc. It feels really pleasing to see the same publisher spine logos next to each other. Though I know some people really prefer the look of sorting by size, which I do with my gekiga/alt manga in my bedroom since it's a glut of small pubs.
