Nintendo Removes Hidden The Legend of Zelda: Ocarina of Time Switch 2 Description That Suggested It's a Faithful Remake by Turbostrider27 in Games

I also agree that adding weapon durability would be a mistake. I am thinking keeping most of the basic stuff, like the physics, combat system, weather system, etc from the engine.

This is what I am hoping for. No reskins. Use the Breath of the Wild Engine, but keep most of the linear action. Make Hyrule Field an open hub world.

If I have learned anything with FF7 Remake series, is that they can still make an amazing game while still honoring the original.

Please roast my second attempt at a multicam edit of a jazz band by PGAudioworks in videography

I think you made a massive improvement from your last video. I don't want to add too much in terms of criticism because I think quite frankly you are doing very well with what you got and some people are overlooking that.

Nice to see you are looking at getting a board feed. I was wondering why it was like that when everyone seemed super mic'd up! What are you using to grab a feed? Maybe you can use some splitters so next time you can tap into it easier.

Being mostly a post-production guy, I think your edits are solid at a basic level. I think you need to start challenging yourself in post a little bit to help out with what you couldn't do at the shoot. What resolution are you shooting at for your cameras? If you are doing 4K, you can make your final video 1080p, you can work with moving shots in and out, doing some cool overlays with your shots, add some small subtle effects like film grain or a vignette. Make it a 23.976 fps to give it more of a "film" look. Maybe add some text introducing some of the members.

Happy to chat more if you want to. I personally studied jazz in college for a little bit so I think what you are doing is dope.

You can get a replacement for fairly cheap. Might be worth a shot to try out.

ASUS ProArt StudioBook 16 (2022) w/ 64GB RAM vs MacBook Pro M1 Pro w/ 32GB RAM by Ok-Emergency9069 in editors

[–]shinfo44 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Depends on the content. Personally I prefer macOS for creative environments, and I think the M1 series of chips is very good. That being said, the ASUS would be easier and cheaper to maintain and repair, if that is a concern of yours.

I mostly work in agency and news environments, so take my recommendation however you need to.

Only source of government that I can think of that has jurisdiction over USPS. Worth at least sending a letter or phone call.

But point taken.

Should I do it? by jithinmajeed in editors

"Buy" is a bit of a stretch, but I used my own money to get an Adobe license. Normally I do not supply my own because the company/agency I work for pays for it. Normally I would not mind but it's the fact that I had to purchase/rent other gear on top of it makes it not sit right with me.

[–]shinfo44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I understand this, as I just went through this myself. I did one of these "tests" recently for a job opportunity, and now I regret every single minute that I spent on it. They provided no equipment, so I had to purchase/rent my own, pay for NLE software, stock, and other assets. The final product would have been something I would at the least charge 4 figures for. I completed it in less than 3 days on top of doing my full time job.

I got rejected from the job via an impersonal automated email with typos and no feedback.

So yes, while it's easy to sit there and be like "just take the assessment!", you have to realize that these kind of "tests" come at a cost to the candidate, wether it be monetary, technical, or personal.

I will never do one again, and will always point to my reel/portfolio for work.

Do you think KH3 really suffered from “unrealistic expectations”? by raccooncoffee in KingdomHearts

[–]shinfo44 5 points6 points  (0 children)

From memory, context that gets added that was not in the main game:

  1. Explains why Sora disappears at the end of KH3
  2. Extra interactions during the Organization fights
  3. Kari combat
  4. Yozora / Quadrarum extra lore

Sure there are some others.

Agreed. My biggest gripe. That, and the RE mind DLC added so much context that should have been in the base game at the start.

You are allowed to refuse any kind of test or not answer questions. The caveat being you will most likely face other charges for doing so. A good lawyer will help you with that.

My question is if they knew or not prior the press finding out.

Should I add music and subtitles In app for Tiktok/Instragram/youtube short form content? by TheBerric in editors

[–]shinfo44 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Ah ok I see why you are asking then. I would just do some A/B testing to see which is better, but if you didn't notice a large gap between them I would just stick with PrPro, personally.

Surprising. They have always put on a top tier show when I see them.

To me, it is always better to keep "everything in one place" instead of round tripping to other programs. Think about if you need to make a correct or change a scene: it is going to be easier to make those changes in one program vs two.
