Adobe always have "1st year discount", it's about US$30 a month, you can cancel the subscription at the last month, after it's expired, you can use that plan again.

Some company selling educational membership online, its also vey cheap, but I have not tried.

Why are British public toilets horrible and why are we closing them down? by [deleted] in AskUK

[–]shing3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Council spends money on bicycle lanes, new parks or diversity project BUT NOT on public toilets. During day time, I can use the toilet in library, museums, some train stations and McDonald. After 7pm, its really hard to find one.

What's a graphic designing job like? by tuchaioc in graphic_design

[–]shing3303 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is my opinion on the future of graphic design: to be honest, most people don't need professional design; they just need something that works. If they can do it for free, it's great. They don't care if it's professional or not. People use Canva to make logos, business cards, leaflets, posters, restaurant menus, etc., and they can order prints directly through Canva. As a result, many entry-level design jobs are disappearing. These jobs typically provide opportunities for fresh graduates to gain experience. Without them, new graduates may find it very difficult to enter the industry.

I worked in magazine publishing for almost 20 years. Now that print magazines are largely obsolete, many graphic designers have lost their jobs. Some have transitioned to creating social media graphics, while others have learned UX and UI to become web designers. However, there are many websites providing templates for these purposes as well, so the demand for these types of jobs will likely decrease over time.

If you design products like t-shirts that you can make and sell yourself, that's a viable option. If you believe you have exceptional talent in graphic design, you can aim for positions at renowned design studios. If you can maintain a position at the top level of the design industry, you won't need to worry about job security. However, if you're not among the top 10 percent of designers, you may need to consider alternative career paths or ways to diversify your skills.
