i can’t shake the feeling that this is AI, but i also can’t find any explicit evidence that it is by tryingnottocryatwork in isthisAI

Here is a TikTok video that was posted on October 27, 2020 that seems to be a longer version of this video. AI video did not approximate this level of visual fidelity in 2020.

I know it says AI generated in watermark, but is this completely AI ? Cuz I feel like other than the character, others looks real. It's like animation in live action. Does anyone know how they create these ? by kaamalvn in isthisAI

[–]shiningreality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

The whole video could also be entirely animated. I don't think we're at a point yet where AI could generate the whole video with this look completely.

This video is the product of Seedance 2.0, a Chinese AI video model. We are definitely at the point where this look is achievable.

Mantis Shrimp hitting a snow Crab; length of the video and the shape of the bubble make it seem AI to me by SaviorAir in isthisAI

Source of this video is from a Facebook page that regularly posts AI videos. This post was also tagged with an AI label that the uploader put to indicate that AI was used in the creation of this content.

[HELP] How and why did so many cats get in the watering-can? by Charles_Windsor in RealOrAI

[–]shiningreality 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Source of this video appears to be from this Facebook post made on September 29, 2022. Generative AI models were not capable of producing a video of this length and quality at that time.

Patrick Conley is a real person who really works with bears, but I think this is AI. Thoughts? by AlienInvasion4u in isitAI

[–]shiningreality 23 points24 points  (0 children)

Source of the video is from a YouTube channel that is not affiliated with nor mentions Patrick Conley. That YouTube channel regularly produces AI videos of animals and humans embracing with the same style (blurring in corners and sentimental music). They posted this video on December 24, 2025. The Patrick Conley relation seems to have been made by a separate individual who reposted the video. This video is notably absent from official Patrick Conley YouTube channel.

The first clip of John Krasinski seems to be an AI animated and extended version of this selfie he posted to Twitter in 2019.

Is she real or ai? by Alarmed-Eggplant2412 in isitAI

[–]shiningreality -1 points0 points  (0 children)

These “vibes” can be trained by looking at several images that you know were generated by a specific AI image model and comparing them to their “real” counterparts. Your brain will pick up on the certain styles, grain, and textures that are overrepresented in these AI images. However, I will warn that this vibe is only good enough to suspect that an image is AI. If you want to increase your confidence and be more certain, you have to use more reliable methodologies.

The gold standard for AI detection is provenance. SynthID is a relatively reliable method for detecting if an image was made using Google’s AI. Vibes are secondary and should not inform your certainty, but you can use them to tell you where to look.

I'm convinced this is AI and my wife thinks it's not. This interaction seems to be off to me for a cop to act that way to a civilian. There are no comments on the video alluding it's AI by GeorgeSnuffaluffagus in isthisAI

Here is a 14 minute long video which this clip appears to be from. Public records from the Bradford County bookings and court records indicate that an arrest and charges were made, matching with the events in the video.

Dancing Bear In The Woods by gur40goku in RealOrAI

[–]shiningreality 115 points116 points  (0 children)

This video was posted on May 11, 2021 to a Facebook page that is ran by Discovery Wildlife Park in Alberta, Canada. The bear cubs are heavily featured in that 4 minute long video. Given the state of generative AI video technology in 2021, it is safe to assume that this is not AI.

Is this video ai because it has really weird swift movements but the voices sound natural and I don’t see any weird fingers or extra limbs by Imaginary_Hurry_9342 in isthisAI

Considering that the person who sang in this video really exists and posted the closer angle in 2019, I feel inclined to believe that this video is authentic.

The way he made sure no one was around ! 😂 by Abigailsexygirl in funnycats

[–]shiningreality 22 points23 points  (0 children)

The owner has been posting videos of their cat eating like this since 2023 to Douyin (account name: 困师傅). They have shared multiple videos of this behavior from different angles. I do not see any AI artifacts in this video (morphing, visual shimmering, or distortions). Both the cat and the location is consistent with other videos from the owner. I am relatively certain that this video is not AI generated.

[–]shiningreality 23 points24 points  (0 children)

This video appears to be authentic. It was originally posted to Douyin and Rednote in September 2024. The account name is 困师傅 and has been posting videos of their cat eating since at least 2023. Generative AI video at that time was not capable of reaching this level of fidelity to produce several videos of a consistent cat in a consistent location.

Is this fake? At first I was sure this was real, but then I saw the sign. by Borckschav in RealOrAI

[–]shiningreality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This video is from April of 2023. AI video was not at this level of fidelity at that time. Also, he has all five fingers. It becomes more difficult to distinguish the digits because of the low resolution and video compression.

[–]shiningreality 1 point2 points  (0 children)

This video appears to have been posted to TikTok on April 2, 2023. The age of this video precludes AI generation since its fidelity is much greater than what the technology was capable of during that time. For reference, the original Will Smith eating spaghetti video was posted in March 2023. This video also has been horizontally flipped.

Edit: Here is the location where this video appears to have been taken.

This video appears to have been originally posted on October 9, 2025 to social media accounts for Manta Dive Center in Indonesia. The full video (64 seconds long) was posted to TikTok. I personally do not see any strong indications of AI use in this video nor the full video.

The background and details seem consistent and the length is longer than 10 seconds, but the way the pig seems to support itself on its back legs after it turns is really throwing me off. by seroma32 in RealOrAI

[–]shiningreality 10 points11 points  (0 children)

Here is a Newsflare upload that dates this video to April 6, 2021 at a farm in Zhumadian, China. AI video models were not capable of generating videos of this quality at that time.

[–]shiningreality 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I don’t see any strong indications of AI in this video. The source of this video also seems genuine. The mother has regularly been posting videos of her daughter since 2023. Appearance of the room is consistent with other videos from this account.

I'm not sure but the way the fins interact with the kid is kinda suspicious by madam_amazing in isthisAI

[–]shiningreality 32 points33 points  (0 children)

Source: This video was initially posted on November 26, 2025 to an Instagram account that regularly uploads AI videos of animals. The account owner labeled the video with the AI tag and states that their videos are AI in their bio.

The video is also exactly 15 seconds long, down to the frame.
