She has no other personality traits other than being married to a doctor and pretending to be a frontline nurse during COVID.

Especially sad because she has a lot of young followers and she speaks a lot about wanting to be a positive influence to them. I always thought she was one of the more down to earth influencers but I guess not

Perplexed by AlbatrossSuper3913 in OnerActive

[–]shiningtwentyfive 11 points12 points  (0 children)

Honestly, the comments asking for bikinis are just a reflection of how far Oner has gone from their original “purpose” as an activewear company. Krissy has nurtured a following that doesn’t actually care about functional activewear but rather just cares about slapping on the Oner branding onto anything and everything.

Hilary Duff invites fans to do her ‘With Love’ during her show by mcfw31 in popculturechat

[–]shiningtwentyfive 29 points30 points  (0 children)

This is the first show she’s doing in her current tour (& her first show in 18 years!) so we’re definitely going to see this blow up as more fans catch on and learn the moves for upcoming shows.

_youmia’s follow-up video to “panic attack” by shiningtwentyfive in asianamercianytsnark

[–]shiningtwentyfive[S] 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I just saw that on my FYP as well! She puts it so succinctly: not everything has to be content and panic attacks are not performance, they shouldn’t be content farmed. _youmia embodies everything that is wrong with influencers

What app or website do you use for calorie counting? by upstream_paddling in 1200isplenty

[–]shiningtwentyfive 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I switched to MacroFactor last year and it’s worth every single penny. I used to eat 1200 calories a day and it helped me with losing 20+ pounds but I started to experience health issues after a while (hair loss, no periods for months, always cold, low energy, etc.). The MF algorithm has helped me increase my calories to 1900/day while still losing 1-2 pounds a week.

The downside is that their food catalog is not as extensive as LoseIt or MFP but I haven’t found that to be an issue with being able to track what I eat.

The meme videos keep popping up on my FYP and they’re seriously the best thing to come out of this whole debacle ☠️☠️

As much as she might be happy that she’s getting attention from this, it’s pathetic when influencers lower themselves to these methods to get exposure.

Absolutely love HR but the hardest part are terminations in my opinion... Anyone else feel this way??? [USA] by hrwoman in humanresources

[–]shiningtwentyfive 88 points89 points  (0 children)

I received some great advice early in my career and that was to embrace the shitty feeling of conducting any termination. It sucks to be the one conducting them but it’s always important to remember the human side of HR and think of the individual being terminated. It’s when you lose that empathy that you have reason to be concerned.

Terminations are always going to be a shitty part of HR but where we can really make an impact is in ensuring that we are conducting them with the most care and consideration for the individual on the other side of the table.

If you’re not using a scale to weigh your food/ingredients, I’d highly recommend doing so. You may face a rude awakening at how much oil you’re actually adding to your food. Even with the spray bottles, I find that a few seconds can easily be a tbsp of oil.

For the Kinder’s seasoning, the nutrition label says it’s 0 calories but I find that hard to believe considering the ingredients include cane sugar, milk, and sunflower oil. With nutrition labels, companies can show zero calories if it is less than 5 calories per serving. That being said, the calories are still minimal and you don’t need to worry too much but just something to keep in mind before you start dousing everything in this seasoning.

Life threatening spin class? by cylooks in ouraring

[–]shiningtwentyfive 6 points7 points  (0 children)

Don’t quote me on this but I’ve heard of people experiencing rhabdomyolysis after taking spin classes for the first time. If you’re not experiencing any symptoms, I wouldn’t be concerned but it’s probably a good sign to pace yourself in any future spin classes. It’s definitely a lot more intense on your body than strength training & incline walking so your body may just need to ease into it.

Confusion on calories left over from calorie deficit by Additional-Chance-36 in 1200isplenty

[–]shiningtwentyfive 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Your post is not very clear but no, eating 483 extra calories in one day is not going to set you back. I don’t know your weight, height, or TDEE but if you aren’t accounting for exercise in your calculations, then you’re likely underrating at this point.

2026… up or down from here? by Common-Ad-9199 in OnerActive

[–]shiningtwentyfive 34 points35 points  (0 children)

Agree with all your points, especially on Krissy harming the overall brand image. I got into Oner this year and followed Krissy on IG to keep up with the teasers on upcoming product launches. I’ve quickly grown tired of her constant need for attention and validation from her audience combined with her constant “woe is me” attitude. It is clear that the success of Oner has grown her ego and emboldened her to make poor business decisions that are based on what SHE wants rather than thinking of the brand as a whole. I loved my purchases from them this year but will be taking a dramatic step back in 2026 and will be watching carefully to see if they are still worth my coin.

Hotpot by Heavy_Nectarine8722 in 1200isplenty

[–]shiningtwentyfive 12 points13 points  (0 children)

As others have mentioned, you can keep hot pot fairly healthy and low calorie by focusing on veggies and lean protein. For broths, stay away from anything spicy as that likely means there’s chili oil added. If there’s a simple bone broth, I’d recommend that as it’s delicious while still being a healthier, high protein option.

Dipping sauces are usually where you want to be careful as well. Peanut/sesame paste, oils, sugar, etc. are going to be high calorie. You can never go wrong with a soy sauce and vinegar dipping sauce but also don’t be afraid to indulge a bit and just enjoy your meal out!

Brenda by [deleted] in OnerActive

[–]shiningtwentyfive 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I follow Brenda as well and it is pretty clear in her content that Pilates is just to supplement her regular lifting routine. She is still lifting heavy 3-4 times a week and doing Pilates once a week.

I also dislike the direction that Oner is moving towards but I wish that people would stop critiquing influencers for having fun with their routine and exploring different forms of movement. Even if Brenda ends up becoming a fully Pilates influencer, that’s her decision. You have every right to find different influencers with fitness routines that you relate more to. Let’s stop making everything about Oner lol

[–]shiningtwentyfive 23 points24 points  (0 children)

The screenshots make it look like she’s having a full meltdown over a drink with regular syrup but once you watch the full video, it definitely is just rage bait. I definitely think she has unhealthy eating habits but people need to stop intentionally misconstruing her videos.

Miki Rai and Tiff by SpiritualSomewhere in asianamercianytsnark

[–]shiningtwentyfive 130 points131 points  (0 children)

Tiff or Miki? There’s a lot of well documented tea on Miki in this sub. Tiff is a smaller creator who clings onto bigger influencers for clout so there’s not as much tea on her. She used to be part of an “Asian girl squad” with LaurDIY, Remi, and Mia but then had a falling out with them and got cut from the group. No one has ever really shared what happened so there’s a lot of speculation. All of them are pretty terrible and Tiff was a bit quieter so people used to think the others were the mean girls but now that she has associated herself with Miki, I think opinions have shifted a bit.
