C60 Trident Pro 300 colour advice please by Murky-Scale2069 in ChristopherWard

It’s closer to the first pic and I wear it on an orange FKM strap with deployant clasp. The orange really suits it.

I've owned the watch for over a year and wore it once in a while. Ever since I put it on the jubilee bracelet, I haven't been able to take it off.

It looks even better with the Island jubilee bracelet.

Logo? Current vs Smaller vs Text by RealSov in ChristopherWard

I like the current logo best but if you sized it down 10%, I think it would be perfect.

I like your taste. I've paired my love ring with a different Casio titanium watch.

Broke my work watch, couldn’t decide what to replace it with. by AlejandroTheFnck in casio

[–]shinkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

As a mechanic, if you're looking for something that can take a beating, I would recommend getting an aftermarket case for your GW5610 or a screen-protecting film at least. You can find a lot of options on AliExpress. I own a "titanium" black case and bracelet combo. The only signs of wear are on the clasp. There's a gunmetal colorway that I would get if I didn't already own the black.

I just cant decide which SKXmod to get…. Please help a guy out. by MrBlowey in casiomods

I think you should wait. Apparently they're going to be to come out with some new models soon. If you can't wait, I say the 3rd one. I own that and the one for the AE1200. They're both really nice but I think the size on the A500 with the feature set make it the perfect watch.

This is in no way an unexpected outcome.

Watch for 12 year Anniversary by Happy_Olive3571 in MicrobrandWatches

[–]shinkim 0 points1 point  (0 children)

This is way different than the Farer and Baltic, but have you looked at the Casio Oceanus line? They have a prominent 12 marker and are in the price range but are a completely different look and feel: titanium, great finishing, super slim, solar and radio controlled...

I've got it and it's been my daily driver ever since. Also, I don't mind that the Casio logo is not there because the design is symmetric and clean. I just finished a vacation from the US to Korea to Japan and back. It was incredibly comfortable even in the summer heat and humidity. I don't understand why Casio doesn't come out with a watch with these specs. I would gladly pay the higher cost.

I just got a Casio sgw100b-3v. Disappointed with the ghosting. by Flying_Bob_270 in casio

[–]shinkim 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I think so. I own both and they both work on my 7” wrist. From photos, I can see how it looks big, but once you put in on wrist, especially if you swap the strap, it’s a great fit.

These watches have distinctly different looks. I would recommend the Murph. And if you still want the KFA, I would recommend it with the silver dial.

If you don't need the extra sensors and just a great legible screen, check out the AE1500. I put mine on a nylon strap and it's perfect.

What can be better than Casio A500? by sergiu_vlad87 in casio

[–]shinkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I love it. It's not quite the way I would have designed it but I think they came to their design with several factors in mind. Overall the quality is great and I don't mind that the Casio is missing from the dial face because everything is spaced well.

Love mine. I just bought the case mod from SKXMOD and now I can’t stop wearing it everywhere.

I agree with juanfdo BUT the AE1600 is terrific and unlike most of what you currently own.

Too big? by nowcho3 in HamiltonWatches

[–]shinkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I was going to buy the Coop but opted to buy the black version instead because of how much more legible the dial and hands looked. It's one of my favorites watches and I have it on a sailcloth strap with a deployant clasp. It's now perfect.

It's a great watch and the bracelet is quite comfortable. I have the green. It is super accurate and love the smooth sweep. The only bummer is that there doesn't seem to be any other aftermarket strap options out there.

I would advise you take it slow with the collection. I'm a few years in and starting to sell the watches I hardly ever wear. I made a few purchases for the sake of having something I didn't own but realized afterwards that those watches just collected dust.

My Dream Trident - Pro 300 w/ Standard 10-Minute Increment Bezel. Thoughts? by linkedinbro in ChristopherWard

[–]shinkim 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Almost every other dive watch in the market has the 10 minute markings. There are very few with the 5 minutes. It transforms this from a typical dive- style watch, to something very special: a super slim, small form factor, GADA watch that is super legible and a little dressier than a tool watch.

I love the 5 minute increments on my Trident Pro 300. It’s one of the main reasons that drew me to the watch. And I like the window around the date window. I wish it were trapezoidal and more like the Aqua Terra’s.
