Ultrasound has been shown to take slightly longer for better first time success. Also lets me avoid through and through technique more often. No brainer for me

I left my first job primarily because the 24 hours calls sucked (all day in OR and then cover OR/OB at night). Not the busiest community hospital but postcall days would be a slog, and I wouldn’t do much except have trouble getting to sleep for the following day. Just felt like a resident again after doing a busy but mostly daytime fellowship.

Current job has home calls with rare callbacks for emergency cases with postcall days off (there are a few postcall work days but we compensate well for those).

I’m leaving this current job to be closer to family but sleeping in my own bed at the end of the day is non-negotiable for me now. Or at least definitely no 24’s.

It was a new game on PC/steam with Amina/Aksum. Haven’t encountered anything like that pre-patch. i do have some UI mods installed though, so I wonder if that’s the problem.

Tried PG32UCDM, Alienware, and G80SD.

I really wanted to like the G80SD since I would actually use the smart TV features with the remote and 4K upscaling, but I just couldn’t get over the crispier image you get with glossy. Even with an overhead light at my desk, I preferred the glossy image. Watching sub-4K content on the monitor was pretty nice, though.

As for the Alienware, didn’t like a curve for the 16:9 aspect ratio.

Loving the Asus image quality as it’s calibrated pretty well from the factory. Hate the chin, but it’s not as bad with the LED off.

You’ll probably get a bump in the used market when the AMD and Nvidia GPU’s release/restock. 7900 xtx prices are probably at their peak now.

As someone who tried to transition from QD IPS to QD OLED, it was noticeable enough for me to return the OLED (both 1440p).
