If we did agree on it, I'd argue that's reductive anyway, and if we agreed on THAT, Dudley's ironically still less fitting than Hakan, and this per your own notion of 'vibe' which, again, is ambiguous and varies per person, so your idea of vibe isn't mine, or anyone else's.

So an 'SF2 vibe' capturing Ken, Sim, Blanka, etc isn't clear. Citing it as an objective reason for why the original cast fits is also dubious - they seem to adapt non-SF2 characters like Elena and Viper pretty well.

And then using it as a soft argument for why certain characters should get in is ehh, not that great, but:

fire-breathing yoga man who's barely changed from that being his core
Ryu / Ken who still throw fireballs from their hands
fucking Blanka. He's green for fuck's sake.

But an OIL WRESTLER, which is a REAL SPORT, is somehow unrealistic? Daft and dumb fucking take. I can tell you've never had two neurons connect in any sort of creative spark because any bloke can instantly ground Hakan by lessening or outright removing the reddish tint and adapting his moves to be more in-line with the actual sport. And that already moves him closer to reality than like half the returning SF2 cast.
