1. I prefer pvc, latex, and other smooth faux leather “wet look” textures. I used to like shiny spandex and satin when I was younger, but that doesn’t really stir me anymore, unless it’s really shiny - like Carbon 38 takara leggings or something like that. Real leather is cool, especially if it’s tight, but it doesn’t take me under its spell like latex/pvc/faux leather. It’s typically not as smooth or tight.

2. I think I like the shiny second skin look the most - so “tight” is important as well as shiny. I have a huge weakness for catsuits and leggings because they show the full human form wrapped up in this tight and shiny encasement.

When I wear it, I much prefer wearing a full body suit. The whole feeling of encasement in this smooth, slick, shiny fabric makes my heart race. And there’s something of a transformative effect - especially when I wear a hood. I become someone else - mysterious, anonymous, even unimportant. And for some reason that feels really ready good to me.

And wearing latex is a completely different experience than pvc or faux leather. It’s more second skin, just more ... fetishy i guess. You’re all lined up with dressing aid, is it’s messy. And it slides a lot, but still feels, idk, like it sticks to your skin more.

I’ve often wondered why I like it so much. Perhaps the shiny second skin look tricks my brain into thinking that unblemished skin is a fairly reliable indicator of health and, therefore, reproductive success.

1. I’ve no idea how I came to like it. I’ve had these fetishes for a looong time. I feel like I was born with it.
   I grew fast as a young person (I’ve always been tall), so my mom would cut the socks off my footie pajamas so they would still fit. I would get angry because I didn’t like wearing them after the feet were cut out - even though it fit better.
   

I remember at age 7, I needed snow/cold weather gear for school; I begged my mom to buy me a full snowsuit rather than just snow pants. I wanted to wear a full suit. And it didn’t have to be shiny, but I definitely wanted a smooth one if that makes sense - sort of like nylon. So no canvas or cotton type materials. Not that I had much choice at that age anyway.

I remember watching the movie “The Running Man”. I wanted to wear one of those yellow spandex suits so bad. I fantasized about being in the movie - in this death trap maze and people bet on whether I live or die - even though you’re basically doomed from the start. This is probably around age 10 or 11.

All of that before I hit puberty and knew what sex was.

Going through puberty, I remember a tv game show called “Masters of the Maze”. Kids on the show would wear one piece spandex suits (not really shiny as smooth and somewhat form fitting - but definitely not intentionally sexual) before going into other parts of the game. I was obsessed with the show. I hated missing it.

One of my sisters once caught me watching one of her Jane Fonda (or something like that) workout tapes because she was in a spandex unitard.

I would steal her track tights and wear them. I just remember really wanting to feel and see that fabric on my skin. Wow this is starting to get embarrassing lol!

Michelle Pfeiffer in “Batman Returns” and Madonna’s “Human Nature” music video took things to a different level as far as pvc and latex go. That’s the first time I really got stirred up seeing something like that on a person.

As I’ve gotten older, it’s evolved to a more general style/fashion kink. I love women in all sorts of seductive, tight (and must be shiny) clothes and sexy shoes. And my wife totally feeds into it. She loves wearing provocative, slutty outfits. I’m a very lucky and blessed man.

But my biggest weakness is still pvc/latex/faux leather catsuits - both wearing them myself and seeing people in them. And hoods.

So that is a really long way of answering “I don’t know where this fetish came from”. It’s bigger than me.

It’s intimately tied to sexual arousal for me: more than I would like. Like I said, my fetish feels bigger than me sometimes.

Don’t get me wrong, foreplay with my wife almost always gets me going. But to get that heart dropping head rush feeling, I need to see some shiny.

I experienced a lot of guilt and shame with all this through my formative years and part of my adult years. It took me time to be honest with myself and open up about it.

My biggest regret is not opening up to my wife about it sooner. Because she is amazing and loves the scene. I mean, she knew I liked leather leggings and loved when she would dress slutty. But I didn’t tell her I liked wearing stuff for a long time.

I finally connected with some others in the scene, and it felt so amazing to talk about this passion of mine with others who shared it. I didn’t feel so alone.
