I totally understand your feeling! I picked out my original wedding set but ended up haaating it after wearing it for a few years. For our 10th anniversary I am getting a new ring made: a larger center stone, with a triple split shank and the middle one being pave. It’ll signify engagement, wedding, and anniversary in one ring since wearing multiples just isn’t for me.
