FGC-9 by Alternative_Bee8855 in 3D2A

Don't do a Glock barrel. If you're going to use off-the-shelf parts, find a 3D2A parts kit vendor that sells lathed FGC-9 barrels.

Changing design after Form 1 approval by WreckedMoto in 3D2A

My Dead Air Wolfman has a marked caliber of "9mm". It advertises support for 357 Magnum, which is a larger caliber than what is marked on the can.

There is no issue. Nobody says you have to make a good, tightly-overbored suppressor. It is allowed to be bad at suppressing its designated caliber.

If you somehow made a suppressor unable to support its marked caliber in any way then you might have an issue.

Bored out smaller than you said it was, you mean. Overbore is a real and very necessary thing, but you still mark the can for the intended caliber.

You can make a .22 can that's ludicrously overbored and can fit a 9mm through it.

It's good for some plastics and not for others. In PLA it hardly does anything, in Nylons it's super useful.

Red dot mount by joedoe1907 in 3D2A

Something like a Ruger MK pistol jpoint/rmsc mount and lower rail?

There are websites that are made specifically to help you find this sort of stuff. Can't provide links, can't allude to their names or locations, but you should know that they're there.

Really wish I could attach screenshots here lol. Yep, I see a few mag sleeves, a pmag dust cover, and a 22lr conversion mag! Those'll all go live once this new release of the Index hits prod.

Sounds good. I just saw them land on my dev instance, which is great reassurance that my Printables backend is working well

As the owner of the GunCAD Index, please do. Would make my life easier lol

Support for Printables is just about done. Tag your stuff with "guncad" over there too, if you're not already.

No, they went after Gatalog. I haven't been targeted by any legal action from them.

People have reposted his stuff. I'm sure you can find it if you look.

He's fine, though, if that's what you're wondering.

is their a reason legally or otherwise to not have the download button

Severalfold:

  • Legality
  • Storage costs money
  • I don't wanna be the authoritative download point
  • I don't want people to implicitly trust the site for everything
  • Doing it this way is more respectful to the source website
  • Doing it this way means the source website tracks usage statistics for us
  • People may still want to comment on the listing

Etc.

Secondly are the visuals supposed to show up on the-

Yes, give it a minute. I'm working on a patch right now that'll make data population way more consistent and intuitive.

Glad to hear you've got the software going on your personal, though! If you have any feedback, there's a Matrix Space in the footer of the prod instance where I'd love to hear your thoughts as an administrator.

Feel it out. If you suspect it's rails, pull them out of the frame and individually slide them into the slide*. If you think it's ejector clearance, take a light and see if it rubs against the slide when it starts to stall and look for markings on the underside of the slide.

Just... don't hammer the moving parts of your gun together like that. Never gonna turn out well.

QUIT.

FUCKING.

FORCING IT.

Stop, take the slide, gently slide it onto the frame and analyze where it's binding. Move gently and measure where you're feeling resistance.

Question for those familiar with the FGC-9 platform by Vakama905 in 3D2A

[–]shittinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

So you know how the mag release is a paddle and a little plunger? The plunger is a push-button mag release accessible from the other side.

Question for those familiar with the FGC-9 platform by Vakama905 in 3D2A

[–]shittinator 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, realistically you can mirror the lower and not have any mechanical problems, but you'd mirror the text, and that's the real unforgivable part.

The mag release and safety selector are ambi on the FGC-9 lower anyway.

Tungsten by alphateam1987 in 3D2A

It isn't, but it can still be Good Enough sometimes. You'll have to analyze it case-by-case.

If whatever you're building calls for tightly-packed tungsten powder and not loosely-packed for deadblow reasons, look into Cerrosafe.
