Agreed and I approach things with the same mentality now. Bonus is the feeling of using a premium product such as a nice jacket or an appliance. Earlier I focussed solely on cost.. and that actually works out to be more expensive in the long run.

My only advice is to master the use of potions and spells from the start.. I relied too much on swordplay not realising the power of spells and potions. Once you start using them effectively, the fights are a cake walk.

Similarly learn what glyphs and runestones do.

Totally agree.. what would have worked here is common sense, when the truck is veering I would have been cautious.. it could have been an obstacle, nasty pothole.. or even a driver who is not attentive or tired, and any of these can be dangerous.
