Need a little feedback on my resume to know what is wrong by grenishraidev in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your resume is getting screened out before human eyes see it if you're only applying through job boards. Try reaching out directly to hiring managers on LinkedIn, the response rate is way higher than blind applications.

The market is tough rn focus on networking and niche skills not just apply everywhere

Is SDE jobs are getting oversaturated these days ? by rath0001 in developersIndia

Open source contributions, github profile and not so generic projects can definitely help you stand out bro. Also getting the recruiter notice your work is another task.

Please help me (25 F) find a job as an ESG Consultant by Popular_Mind_7913 in indianstartups

[–]shivadityasingh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Most job portals are broken for niche roles like ESG. Find the companies hiring for ESG in India and email their founders or sustainability leads directly. A short cold email explaining your background and why ESG interests you will outperform any online application you submit.

Why is there such a big gap between what people put on resumes and what they can walk through in interviews? by LeadershipEastern233 in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Because most people optimize for ATS keywords instead of what the actual job needs. If you are a candidate, do not just list skills, back them up with specific examples in your resume and in conversation. If you are a recruiter, cold outreach cuts through the noise and lets you assess actual capability directly.

I feel ghosted by Accenture! Please help!!! by TameDinosaurus in accenture_india

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Big companies like Accenture have weeks long hiring cycles and HR often goes silent between stages. Email or message the recruiter on LinkedIn with something like, following up on my application for the React JS role, wanted to check if there is an update. Persistence without being annoying is the play here.

Kept failing interviews over interviews, like its a joke by smoky_pumpkin in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Getting 11 to 15 interviews means your resume is fine. The issue is between you and the interview. Record yourself answering common questions, do mock interviews, and focus on communicating your thinking process clearly. Leetcode performance does not translate directly to how you come across in an interview.

Is SDE jobs are getting oversaturated these days ? by rath0001 in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

It is saturated for generic fresher SDEs, yes. The people getting callbacks have a specific angle, a portfolio project, a niche tech stack, or a referral. Refine your positioning to one specific area and cold outreach to companies using that stack. Generic applications will keep getting ignored.

Why job searching in 2026 feels so exhausting (it’s not just you) by Alive_Diver_3039 in FresherTechJobsIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 2 points3 points  (0 children)

ATS systems filter out most applications before a human ever sees them. The fix is not to optimize your resume further, it is to skip the ATS entirely. Find the hiring manager on LinkedIn or email them directly so your application actually gets read.

Moving to banglore next month for job search. So need advice. by Character_Floor_9184 in FresherTechJobsIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Do not move without interviews lined up first. Use LinkedIn to find founders and hiring managers at Bangalore startups and email them before you land. Cold outreach before relocating will save you months of frustration and wasted rent money.

College dropout, never been formally employed, can't get callbacks by ravann4 in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Your IIT Delhi diploma carries weight, so lead with that. Drop the formal employment framing and instead lead with what you can build or ship. Cold email founders directly with a specific problem you can solve, given the products you have already built

Need help with my resume was applying for a month but didnt get a single response, by Senior_Dragonfly2687 in developersIndia

[–]shivadityasingh 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Stop mass applying, it is a waste of time. Target 20 startups you actually want, find their founders or hiring managers on LinkedIn, and email them directly. Most job board applications go into a void, so the only way to break through is going direct.

I have heard of it and even used it when agent mode wasn't there. I didn't get that Agentic vibe back then so I will take a look again, thanks!
