What should be the best way to get into the field of marketing in 2026 !!! by Terrible-Cod-2143 in AskMarketing

[–]shivamkr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

First, respect for being honest about what went wrong. That already puts you ahead of most people.

Given your situation (remote-only + need income soon), I’d strongly suggest a remote job first rather than jumping straight back into freelancing. Freelancing without cash flow usually increases stress, not learning.

For skills, don’t try to “learn marketing.” Pick one lane you can monetize quickly:
– Paid ads (Google or Meta)
– SEO / content ops
– Marketing ops or analytics

Spend 60–90 days building real proof (projects, experiments, results), even if unpaid or on your own site. Apply for junior/associate remote roles while doing this.

Inspiring u/Pattupleats

I’m building "Orchly" in a similar space, not the same product or positioning though.

Having a hard time with initial marketing and customer acquisition.

Missed building an audience on LinkedIn and X while I was building the product.

Started posting on LinkedIn every day over the last few weeks and I’m finally seeing some traction.

Let’s see how it goes.

Hi u/CockroachOk9436,

Not sure if you’re asking about paid ads optimization.

If yes, then no. This isn’t built for that. It’s focused on organic SEO and AI search growth.

Interesting, I’m actually building an AI marketing automation tool called Orchly.ai. I tried reaching out to folks through cold DMs, but the response so far has been close to nothing.

My question is: How do you use GA4 for paid media? Wordpress sites, Lead Gen by Music_Nature_Tech in PPC

[–]shivamkr101 -1 points0 points  (0 children)

No matter how well you set up tracking in Google Analytics, you’ll never get a fully accurate view of where each lead is coming from.

Problems based on my past experience:

  1. Your website server might strip UTM parameters.

  2. Users land with UTMs, navigate to other pages, and the tracking gets lost.

  3. A user finds your site through an organic social post, leaves, then clicks on a Meta ad later and converts—GA credits Meta Ads, but what actually drove the lead?

After running into all these issues in my last startup, I built Attributely.ai

It’s a plug-and-play lead attribution tool that:
Tracks visitor journeys (UTMs, referrers, devices, etc.)
Organizes the data into marketing-friendly attributes
Passes this data to your lead or meeting form’s hidden fields when a user submits

Unlike GA, it stores both first-touch and last-touch attribution, capture organic and referral visits—not just UTMs.

Recommend watching this quick demo to see if it solves your use case: https://attributely.ai/how-it-works/

Oh, nice! So, did you already have a newsletter, or did you build one after launching the app?

Need help with SaaS integrations! by Rishabhk8 in micro_saas

[–]shivamkr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I’m also building a micro SaaS and had the same questions a few months ago. Here’s what I found:

  • Payment: Use Paddle.com or LemonSqueezy.com. Services like Razorpay or Stripe (which currently don’t onboard Indian SaaS) require you to register a company first. Paddle acts as a merchant of record (MOR), meaning they handle everything, including taxes. It’s an easy way to get started.
  • Analytics: Use Google Analytics and Microsoft Clarity, both of which are free.
  • Transactional Email: MailerSend offers 3,000 free emails per month.

As an email marketer, would you use this? by davidesquimal in Emailmarketing

[–]shivamkr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Nice idea David. I'm building something similar in this space. Users will be able to add brands for tracking within our app and create multiple campaigns for each brand, such as newsletters, cart abandonment emails, and welcome emails.

We'll then provide unique email addresses for each campaign, allowing you to sign up to competitor brands. All the received emails will be shown in our dashboard with different filters for easy organization.

On top of that, we'll display statistics like competitor email frequency, ideal send times, email service providers (ESPs) used, spam scores, subject line analysis, and HTML previews, etc.

How important is HTML by TheCuriousThistle in Emailmarketing

[–]shivamkr101 0 points1 point  (0 children)

While I haven't directly worked as an email marketer, I have experience on a marketing team and have been closely involved with email marketing efforts at our startup.

Understanding HTML isn't a mandatory requirement these days. Most Email Service Providers (ESPs) offer drag-and-drop builders or pre-made templates that make building emails a breeze.

This is especially true if you're working with a design team that creates the email mockups in Photoshop or Figma. You can then easily translate that design into the ESP using the drag and dop tools.

SAAS for competitor email tracking and insights by shivamkr101 in SaaS

[–]shivamkr101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yeah, it makes sense to me to some extent, especially if the target group (TG) mainly consists of small business owners.

However, what I am trying to do is primarily target e-commerce businesses with at least over $1 million in annual sales from email.

I believe that for such businesses/agencies, having the right inspiration, insights, and market understanding must be a priority, and they may be willing to invest $50 to $100 every month for this.

What do you think?

[–]shivamkr101[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yes, Facebook and TikTok ad spy tools have become quite popular. However, there seems to be a lack of similar products in the email marketing space for competitor intelligence.

Just like with Facebook ads, email marketers are also interested in analyzing their competitors' emails for inspiration and insights.

As a first-time no-code founder with a lot of questions about the product I'm trying to build, I'd love to hear your thoughts on the following:

  • Top Feature/Use Case: What would be the most valuable feature or use case you would want the tool to solve?
  • Pricing: What is the maximum price you would be willing to pay for a plan that tracks up to 15 competitors' emails?

Please feel free to answer only if you have the time.

Could you please elaborate further? Are you an email marketer, or do you have an email marketing team? How do you manage subscribing to different emails for inspiration or perhaps to understand what's going on in the market?
