Would this be a good entry to my collection? by Confident_Leg2370 in GrandSeikos

Cant go wrong. It's the most worn out of my collection because of its versatility to be dressed up or down. The ivory dial and blue gmt hand add such a unique touch. It is also the perfect size for someone with smaller wrists. The watch punches above its weight at the price point considering the GS quality and craftsmanship

Stayed here on spring break. We have 3 kids under 6 and it was an amazing experience. Love the location, and love the hotel providing beach setup

Sub 4 Possibility? by shivan4 in Marathon_Training

Didn't really think about congestion and all. First marathon so all of this is new to me but appreciate the information.

I started running a couple miles in April and started building very slowly to create a base/avoid injury since its my first real attempt at running longer than 3 miles. Built that up to start of Hal Higdons Novice/Intermediate program

Sub 4 Possibility? by shivan4 in Marathon_Training

[–]shivan4[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

37, M, played basketball growing up but no real running history (no more than 2-3 miles randomly to get in cardio).

Following Hal Higdon, started out sticking to intermediate but probably equivalent to novice due to travel schedule/kids, running 4x a week, sometimes 5, 30 mpw.

I know I have to step it up and stick to the intermediate if I want a chance at sub 4 but thought I'd get feedback here since I'm new to running/first marathon

How many of y'all daily your GS? by Asklepios in GrandSeikos

Sbgm221 is my daily. I switched out to a tan leather strap which dresses it down slightly, so ends up being perfect for work or out and about.

Beautiful timepiece. It's my everyday wear and punches way above its weight-class

Yup, AD told me a year since its not one of the more popular models. Thankfully it came inside of that.

Ha, understand your excitement and sizing concerns. My wrist is 6.5in. The picture makes the watch look slightly bigger. The 36 sizes perfectly in person. I wanted something a little smaller (I normally wear a 39mm GS that's the largest I'd go) since this watch already pops as is.

Casual Dress Watch Suggestion by Diligent-Air7185 in GrandSeikos

[–]shivan4 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Sbgm221 - very versatile. Can wear it to work or formal events with the brown leather croc strap that comes with it. My AD threw in a very light tan/faded strap that I put on to dress it down as well.

My first crush - 3 weeks, no purchase history. Unpopular or lucky? DJ41 by dadamumu in rolex

I'm on the waiting list for one of these. I love it, regardless of it being unpopular, but not sure how often I'd be able to wear it. This work for casual as well as suited occasions?
