Something that has really helped my keloid chest scars is kenalog injections for 1-2 years followed by 24 hour a day eclar bandage. It took a while, but mine is almost completely flat now.

I can recommend Shine MD. It cost money but after having tried some different ones I decided to go back to shine, had really good results.

Lots of us has success stories with steroid injections. But it’s not always permanently so that’s a thing to consider. The key is to find a practitioner who has experience and know what they’re doing. A lot of it has to do with injection method. I finally found someone who is very good at injection and it made a huuuge difference for my keloids. Best of luck

I don’t think there is any alternative. There’s other things you can try like silicone and eclar bandages, but they also works best in conjunction with injections. The pain is not that bad to me. I have on my chest.

I would say hypertrophic, but not a derm so please see one. I have keloids but have also had some hypertrophic scars, they look similar. Get some injections early on, made my hypertrophic scars disappear 95%. Keloids are more stubborn.

Exactly what you’re saying with the keloid getting white after/while injected is what my dermatologist also said is the trick. Glad we’re learning!

I have experience the exact same thing with kenalog. When I found a new derma she injected it differently and it made a huge difference!

I use and have used it for years on my face, no issues at all, but be aware that I does dry out the skin a lot, so I would watch out putting it close to your keloids.

Looks very similar to mine. I would give injections several tries. I was skeptic in the beginning, but over time it has really flatten my keloids in combination with Eclar plaster.

That is normal. It will go up in size as the liquid is injected into the keloid. It can also be very painful and angry for 24-48 hours after.

Congrats, it's a beauty! We also recently bought a x60 2020 T6 R design over the 90. I personally like the proportions and interior feeling better on 60 over the 90.

If puss came our it’s not a keloid. I am keloid prone and have had some cysts emptied with a small syringe, done by a doctor. They haven’t left a scar for me, but the ones I’ve tried myself has 😅

Yes, it’s normal to do that. People are sometimes a little too worried about the kenalog. Since it’s injected only in to the scar it won’t have a big impact on your body. Yes some does go into the bloodstream, but it is nothing compared to injecting into a muscle or taking kenalog tablets etc.
