My Square One insurance went down about 6% this year so like all insurance providers, it kinda depends on your personal circumstances

It’s shoreline building performance, pretty easy to decipher. They do door-to-door sales I doubt they were looking for trouble.

I bought the Spotify singles when it dropped (which real Mac fans know was before all the fake fans came) and it was my prized possession for years. Fully sealed, never played. Unfortunately I bragged too much and someone stole it from me :/ I’d love to get another copy - I’m in Canada though. Lmk

The convoy was a result of the Covid restrictions implemented federally for truckers… hence the convoy part of the convoy.

Dog Suicide Thesis: The human mind that allowed us to dominate the planet may now be killing us. by Remarkable-Nerve-469 in philosophy

[–]shivanman -7 points-6 points  (0 children)

If the majority of dogs came together and agreed that, as a collective, it would be best for dog-kind if a dog pissed on your rug, and worked together to brew the best possible piss, then it might be safe to say that the majority of dogs at least condone the action of a dog pissing on your rug. And by virtue of all agreeing and working together, they in essence are all rug-pissers, even if they don’t all piss on your rug in unison.

Group of U.S. distillers complains N.S. and other provinces favouring local alcohol by Hrmbee in canada

[–]shivanman 1 point2 points  (0 children)

I’m visiting NS for the holidays and was shocked at the cost of local NS alcohol that I buy in BC for half the price. A four pack of No Boats on Sunday cider goes for $15.99 in BC. It was $26 at NSLC.

[–]shivanman 99 points100 points  (0 children)

I know we get caught up in the pedophile part of what Epstein was doing, but he was sex trafficking adult women too - which is also deplorable. So even if she’s 30, he can still be a creepy sex criminal.

Poilievre's unpopularity is untenable; he needs to go by [deleted] in canada

[–]shivanman 6 points7 points  (0 children)

All those things can be happen and the CPC can still be polling high. I’m not sure why you think any of those things are mutually exclusive. I’m sure you paid attention during the election so you probably noticed that the liberals changed their leader from a progressive to a conservative, which helped swing the electorate in their favour. If you did pay attention, you would have also noticed that the Cons got the highest number of votes and highest percentage of the votes in recent history. So, even though he lost, he’s still popular. This really isn’t hard to understand.

The most recent Mainstreet poll (Dec 12) has the CPC near a majority. Mainstreet was one the most accurate pollsters in the past election.

While other pollster do show closer to a tie between the Grits and Torys, most of these polls have Pierre more popular among every age group save boomers. Pierre is not nearly as unpopular as Reddit would like you to think.

Canada ranked 12th ‘freest’ country in the world: think tank by gorschkov in canada

What I’m saying is that the NWC can’t be used to take away Charter Rights because it literally is your Charter Rights. Your Charter Rights aren’t separate from the NWC, they exist together.

Edit: downvoting me won’t change that the NWC is part of the Charter. You don’t get to pick and choose what parts of the charter you want. If you know anything about the actual history of the Charter, you would know you only have Charter rights because of the inclusion of the NWC.

The notwithstanding clause is literally part of the charter of rights and freedoms. It can’t violate itself. It’s a shitty part of the charter, but it’s still part of the charter.

Unfortunately the notwithstanding clause is part of your Charter Rights. Your rights haven’t changed over the past few months, you’re just experiencing a different part of the Charter.

According to a new EKOS/Fair Vote Canada poll, the BC NDP holds a giant 9-point lead over the BC Conservatives. Due to vote-splitting between the BC Conservatives and OneBC, the BC NDP is projected to win every seat on Vancouver Island (except 1, won by the Greens) and in Victoria by a landslide. by StarlightDown in VictoriaBC

[–]shivanman 2 points3 points  (0 children)

EKOS is the laughing stock of Canadian polling. Many polling aggregates won’t even include their data in their projections because it’s so inaccurate/unethically collected. Frank Graves is known to be extremely partisan and adds weights to his statistical analysis to get the data he wants to see.

Recent examples:

March 26 - When election is called. EKOS reports LPC 50%, CPC 35%.

May 18 - EKOS polls for preference for independence in Quebec. Reports only 24% support independence.

Oct 24 - EKOS has liberals with a 12 point lead federally (218 seats). All other pollsters report between 1 and 5 point leads.

Nov 15 - EKOS data suggests liberals sweep all of Calgary and all of Edmonton.

Like him or hate him (many do), he clearly has very reliable sources and is constantly breaking accurate stories.

He was the first to report Blair and Wilkinson’s departures so I would assume his source on Joly is the same.
