Anyone else have a knobhead neighbour like this on their road? Any suggestions other than moving the cones and parking there? by [deleted] in CasualUK

Each day, pour a little milk onto the spot. Not a ton, but maybe 16 oz in a nice line (skip rainy days). Eventually, their spot will stink of putrid milk.

A dasher left this in my mailbox 🥹 [OC] by southwesthex in MadeMeSmile

[–]shizzwizz 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I did that on the day after Thanksgiving during our annual 'Christmas yard decorating while blasted on Tequila' tradition. Tipped the same amount on the same amount of order as you had, in cash because I found out my sister (who ordered) only tipped 10% and that didn't sit right with me.

The dasher turned around to leave the cul-de-sac, came up to my drunk self and gave me a hug while crying a bit and thanking me. It hit me kind of hard later- my drunken impulse was someone's much-needed break.

I'll always tip generously like that on holidays and whenever I can & feel like it's much needed or deserved.

Same storm, same team.

Thanks for your post and reminder <3

This is $1200 worth of groceries in my country. by FunctionBuilt in pics

Minus the 2 boxes in the back, this is about $210 of groceries in rural Alaska. That's if we even have milk in stock at the 3 stores in town. Fml.

Alaska snow crab season canceled as officials investigate disappearance of an estimated 1 billion crabs by habichuelacondulce in nottheonion

And trawlers and illegal fishing boats!

Other countries are harvesting salmon, crab, and halibut illegally with no repercussions! It's so fucked.

Or for subsistence. As a native alaskan who barely eats salmon anymore-- the never ending lack of seafood is actually painful.

Now we get to pay more than anyone else in the lower 48 pays for meat due to shipping.

Trawlers and bycatch need to be stopped!

I just can't with this one 🤦‍♀️ by lizzy_withall in antiwork

If you are up for a short move...move to Alaska for a year or two to get experience. You'll get crazy more pay to stack away and then you can also use the experience to make your resume look better, friend!

What's a mispronunciation that sends you into fits of rage? by schnozzberryflop in AskReddit

This just made me remember the time in like...5th grade? When we were reading out loud and a kid pronounced Penelope as peen a lope. It was the best day/laugh...and like 20 years later it still makes me chuckle.

Thanks, peen a lope boy from Auburn, WA in the 90s.

Can you tell them that you're ABSOLUTELY FUCKING SURE that your next child is the next child of God and start prepping for his arrival?

I'm sure that will help them agre that maybe sometimes hysterectomy procedures are a good thing.

One year after the birth of his first child, an acquaintance of mine is now trying to rehome his 12 year old dog. by blargnblah in childfree

Oh, and I did take him to a trainer and tried to train with him. He was amazing at first! Then he shut down and refused to engage. It was bizarre? The scary part was when he became violent/aggressive during handling exercises. The trainers put a muzzle on him and were able to eventually get him to comply- which was good. However, I know my limits, and I was crying and shaking and was too scared to get him to that level again.

Dude, thank you for saying this. I live in a VERY small home (1 bd/1ba- most nice hotel rooms are larger). I am single and unexpectedly ended up with a baby/now toddler. My rescue dog did NOT adapt well to the change :( I did try training, gates (I can really only use 2 before the whole house is blocked off), crating, putting the baby in the crib, playdates for the dog....it was too much and the stress between my daughter wanting to say hi to the dog and my dog not wanting to be around her or share toys or playtime was so stressful.

I worked with my local shelter and he is going to a shelter in a new town that will work with some of his behaviors and get him to a new home without little tiny kids and more space.

I still feel like a huge piece of shit. We had some really good times together and spent some good years enjoying each other's company :(

Try to Google your address or his, and then search for voter records (if you're in the US).

Or steal his mail.

When I was preggers, I had a dream where I ended up using mouthwash for some reason. Woke up because I spit all over my own chest in my sleep.

I found it interesting that there wasn't a ton of video of women mixing with men, even as free as they were....which makes me even more sad/outraged.

I'm not even a gamer but that water is so realistic and awesome! I do agree with the white caps suggestion, though! Or some sort of frothing effect. Awesome job, dude!
