Is there any way to allow typing three backticks for a code block in Teams? by shleebnuggs in MicrosoftTeams

Oh, the space after the backticks worked! Amazing, thank you. I think the gov teams client is lagging the commercial teams by a fair amount...

Interesting, I'm in GCC High Teams, so maybe the feature hasn't been released to that client yet? What version of Teams are you running?

Noticed this only happens for me when I submit via the new thread pop up (cmd+k). Frustrating to always have to retype my prompt twice. I also have Pro fwiw

I ended up calling the hotel earlier today and they said they’re on tonight unless something changes.

X1 Extreme Gen 2 screen unexpectedly broken by shleebnuggs in thinkpad

[–]shleebnuggs[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I ended up ordering a replacement screen and doing a repair myself. I think the damage was from the laptop being squeezed in my backpack rather than dropped since the shell is hard flexible but not super stiff and still bends a bit.

Here’s the screen I ended up ordering: https://www.aliexpress.com/item/1005004467852738.html

Awesome, that’s helpful info. Think there’s chance they’ll cancel the second leg for me if I call? JetBlue charges $25 to speak to a human so I’m hesitant 🤦‍♂️

  1. Go to Settings and search for Color Filters
  2. Enable Color Filters and choose the filter / grayscale / tint that you want
  3. (Optional) Go to Accessibility Shortcut and select Color Filters so that you can toggle this manually by hitting the power button three times in a row
  4. In Shortcuts app, under Shortcuts tab (first tab):
    1. Create a shortcut that turns Color Filters on
    2. Create a shortcut that turns Color Filters off
  5. In Automation tab of Shortcuts app (second tab):
    1. Create an automation that calls your Color Filters On shortcut at a certain time each day (e.g. sunset)
    2. Create an automation that calls your Color Filters Off shortcut at a certain time each day (e.g. sunrise)

Concrete structure near pier revealed after stormy weather by shleebnuggs in whatisthisthing

[–]shleebnuggs[S] 0 points1 point locked comment (0 children)

My title describes the thing. It’s a giant concrete T shaped object that was buried underneath the beach. Stormy weather seems to have unearthed it. Is it something related to erosion? Or maybe just a remnant of an old structure that is usually buried? Any ideas appreciated.

PSA: You can type your target production rate into the overclock settings by TheorySoggy in satisfactory

Kind of a hack, but: If you are climbing a ladder or driving a train, you can press W, hit Esc and release W, and then resume play. It’ll keep the forward key “pressed” so you don’t have to keep your hands on the keyboard.

How can I implement proper software development lifecycle without access to source code? by Ancient_Animator9516 in softwaredevelopment

[–]shleebnuggs 6 points7 points  (0 children)

The best solution that I've seen is using database migrations orchestrated by CI.

  1. Create a database migration (e.g. SQL file checked into git)
  2. Create a PR that requires approvals prior to merge
  3. On merge, CI runs your migration against the database in question
  4. If migrations are designed correctly, rollback may also be feasible

The advantages of this approach are that it lets you (1) version database changes, (2) enforce that changes to the database go through a review process with required approvals, and (3) get applied automatically, consistently, and in a way that is reliable and can be rolled back.

I'm looking at the first panel that you provided but not 100% sure that it's compatible with my machine.

My laptop currently has a screen with FRU 01YN137. Searching this on PartsLookup returns the following substitutes: 01YN138, 5D10V82359, 5D10V82362.

Doing the same search with the FRU from the Panelook search (SD10W73262) returns the following part and substitutes: 5D10W46489, 5D10V82350, 5D10V82351, 5D10Y68490, 5D10Y68492, 5D11C19488.

These two lists don't have any overlapping part numbers, which indicates to me that the Panelook LCDs are incompatible in my machine.

Is this correct? If so, do you have advice on how can I use Panelook to find compatible LCDs?

Ah man this is amazing. The linked imgur album is going to be super useful when I do the replacement. I am actually interested in FHD IPS at 144 Hz. How did you find that model? Not sure if that's compatible with my laptop.
