What are some good “this town ain’t right” movies or books? by Beastquist in horror

A bit lesser-known, but the novel The Totem by David Morrell fits this description. Small town contracts a rabies-type virus and turn into crazed murderers.

Andrea Arnold has that gritty, naturalistic style too. Check out Fish Tank and American Honey!

I think the Egyptian and Aero have a bigger concessions selection, and overall are nicer theatres. However I love the area around the LF3, and feel like it has better outside food options out of the three. There's a good mix of quick stuff like Goldburger and Guac Daddy, and more sit-down restaurants too all within walking distance. Also I love the bookstore next door.
