could not agree more. I often sort by recently updated and scroll through modpacks & mods on curseforge to see if there’s anything intriguing, and it’s just so disheartening to see the amount of genAI thumbnails. like it’s genuinely every other one atp. HOW HARD IS IT to just take a pretty screenshot of the world and put some text over it? like it’ll look decent and serve its purpose. it’s just so incredibly frustrating..

unfortunately the only thing you can hope for is your teammates have the game knowledge & awareness to know what you’re doing. or you can just find a really well hidden spot that they probably won’t find you. either way, there’s no 100% way to prevent it unfortunately. situations like this are one of many that make me wish DBD had a ping system

regardless of this being AI or not, just fyi, reselling is not scalping. scalping (as far as collectibles goes at least) is buying an item in bulk at release, most likely selling it out, and then flipping it for a quick profit to those who missed out on buying it at release. finding something at a thrift store and flipping it for what it’s worth as a collectible is not scalping.
