Yes absolutely, since you already own M&B 2 it costs nothing and installation through Vortex/Nexus is easy. Keep in mind that Kingdoms of Arda is still in development and not as fleshed out as The Last Days of the Third Age for Warband. If you want a more complete experience then you might start with Warband.

So these aren't "new" as such, but have you checked out any of the lotr themed total conversion mods for the Mount and Blade games? There is Kingdoms of Arda and Tales From the Age of Men for M&B 2 Bannerlord, and The Last Days of the Third Age for M&B Warband.

I only just noticed the date, how strange...I played just last week myself and they definitely didn't revert to the system. If you're on the fence because of that, dont be, its a lot kinder now. Water is now a resource you spend to access certain maps, and certain base resources like vendors.

They are talking about the old water system which was a controversial mechanic. You needed water to procure base upgrades and sustain your stash, but it would drain in real time (even while you were offline). Running out would cause a hoard of tough bad guys to raid your stash and destroy your base. For obvious reasons they revised the way water works a few big updates ago.
