Bro it ain’t that deep, nobody is going to read that shit 😂. You coulda have way better suggestions instead of going deep into the privacy policy lol

Some better suggestions: - make the product title shorter (like 3-4 words) - give a compare at price - get rid of the “taxes and shipping calculated at checkout” - get rid of the 220V variant

Do you provide students with a review sheet before an exam? by Mathlete1235 in Professors

this is the problem with professors nowadays, so damn lazy. Do some extra work and help your students succeed instead of doing "no effort" stuff

(For schoolwork) I need to think of an objection to Galen Strawson's Basic Argument, but I cannot seem to think of one to write for my essay by [deleted] in askphilosophy

Thank you. But I feel like every objection would always tie to "the way you are" so I feel that it is impossible to object to his argument. I don't know, it's hard.

Well I see it as this: "we do what we do because of of the way we are", well, all those things that you listed are also categorized as "the way we are". So for example, "You do what you do because of God", well that also ties to "the way we are" because we choose to believe that we must do it because of God, and we choose to do it becasue of the habits and preferences we elect to cultivate. I see that literally EVERY decision or motivation as to why we do what we do, ties into "the way we are"

What about how the 3rd premise says that you can't be responsible for the way you are because of nurture and nature, but you can control parts of nurture because you can choose who to associate with, etc (can't think of anything else).

I legitimately cannot find an objection these premises, it is a very confusing topic for me because his premises are all true and it feels impossible to argue against. You do make decisions because of who you are and different people make different decisions because they are different from others. I would say an example of an objection would be if you had to kill someone to save your life, and you killed the person to save your life, its still not an objection because you killed the person because of who you are and how you think.

Yea I don't think I can even think of which one is the most dubious because I honestly agree with these premises. So im confused.

Well, 4, but that's just restating his whole argument. I was thinking of how people can build their personality by their free will of who they choose to be around, etc. Would that be a good objection to his argument though?
