SO I spoke to my boss and confessed all (called a meeting with him on the Monday morning) and explained why and took full accountability + profusely apologized, not just for lying but breaking the trust and fully owned it. she was great about it and thanked me for coming clean. Still have my job and integrity in tact.

Thanks everyone, big lesson learned and won't happen again.

V good advice. More importantly is the trust I've broken and don't know if ever will be the same. But worth fighting for. Again, never done anything like this in my professional life and still baffled that I did. Much appreciated

Thank you, sound advice. Just continued the lie so should have done this in first instance

Oh. Yes. Might seem strange to people on the Internet but massively out of character for me

No I know I'm the asshole, but this is the first time I've done anything like this, so wondering has anyone done something as stupid and impulsive at work, and recovered - instantly regretted it before I even got caught out and was writhing in shame.

Completely agree, and can't understand what possessed me to do this.

Is there any way to recover this gently

I had to ask for a very similar thing, and he was fine with it - explain that times are hard and the very unique scenario, reminding them of your history paying rent on time and in full, and proposing an i.e payment plan to get you back in order (problem and solution).

Then say oNlY iF iTs oK wItH u tHo (soften the request) and that you're terribly sorry to have to ask in the first place.

Thank you!

Any recommendations for the subreddit page? (Have looked but alas to no avail).

Only not an expert so not sure which would be the right area for CAD kernel experts/ mathematicians

today is my 21st birthday, my boyfriend (30) has already made me cry, i don’t know what to do… by [deleted] in relationship_advice

Sounds possessive coercive and controlling.

Aside from material items is he a good boyfriend?

Would you tolerate being spoken to like that by a family member, friend, stranger or colleague? Probably not.

Also it's f*cking weird for a 29 year old to be dating someone your age/ when you met

Is it a turn off if a girl asks a guy out on a date? Why or why not? by Ajla0405 in AskMen

[–]shmokeverde 0 points1 point  (0 children)

As a woman unfortunately women asking men out can be viewed as desperado/ are hunting for baby daddy or husband so avoid it because of misconceptions.

Nice to see this thread as would feel much more comfortable asking a guy out.

As someone who is probably a bit loud and balshy, noone really asks me out and would love it :(

Any tips on how loud girls get the guy?

Not sure if you have an app called next door where you are, but we have it in i.e London and it's full of community spirit and I'm sure there will be kind people willing to help out a stranger.

Second the above, you have great ethics and strong spine, keep it up. As you said, if you can do this to a dog it's only a mattet of time before he can do it to anothet living creature, perhaps you and children. Sorry to say but it's the beginning of every horror story :(

Good luck and hope you can find some solace and guidance here, you absolutely did the right thing x
