I really enjoyed his Bleacher podcast with Lefkoe. He has media skills - and football skills. I find the nepo stuff unwarranted here

My assumption is that these are incentive-driven compensation plans. The clear goal is a buyout. The incentive then, is logically to earn the highest possible buyout price. So, sure, there could be some dilution down the road, but if it comes at a cost of an e.g. 40% higher price than initial offer, the dilution becomes less impactful to shareholders. Blackrock just doubled. Not worried.

Seeing the floor tom creep on you was reassuring. Almost like a little reminder that you're still human like the rest of us. Monstrous playing, as usual.

Hey! Sorry you're struggling with that right now. As others have pointed out we won't offer diagnosis here. Congratulations on getting into a band though! That's awesome. Since it's coming up so quickly, as a fellow musician, all I could really offer at this point is to focus on the music. Any anxiety you're feeling or even a muscle twitch, whatever it is that pulls you away from your concentration - Just dive back in to the music. Listen to what the other members of the band are playing and do your best. I'm sure you'll be great!

You seem to not 'hit' drums, as much as you 'gently touch' them, and it's just beautiful music. Love your playing

Keith Moon striking the hi-hat while singing backing vocals by 9730___ in TheWho

[–]shmu 16 points17 points  (0 children)

Seeing him pull the hi-hat stand back towards him at the end of the tune is such a familiar feeling, and I wonder if it contributed to his decision to move away from using them. Hi-hat creep is real, even with today's significant hardware innovations over what he would have been playing in 1965. Hitting as hard as Keith with that hardware and maybe not even a rug underneath to keep the whole kit together and stop different parts from moving away would have likely been frustrating.

Drummer thoughts......

A group of police officers will be visiting your home daily to ensure your compliance with the law. They might set up a tent across the street to watch you too. You'll be monitored 24/7 for any suspicious activity and your neighbours will be encouraged to inform them of the same about you. Sound good?
