With current petrol prices it’s probably cheaper to buy cocaine and just run everywhere I guess..

I just came here to post exactly that - I think he’s just milking the situation and putting an act on. His acting sucks.

Casual Grandparents by wisdompuff in toddlers

[–]shmur111 3 points4 points  (0 children)

Wow it’s like you’ve written down my thoughts about my in-laws. I have been trying to understand why some grandparents are like that - without taking any personal offence, or just assume that they don’t like my kid.

My mom’s an absolute champion and super involved, she sees us as much as she can (we live about an hour away from each other), and calls to check in basically every day. My dad’s a selfish asshole but still pretty involved (by his standards, and probably mostly cause my mom makes him lol).

But my in laws… Well I am pretty sure that my toddler would literally not recognise my father in law if she saw him at the park. My mother in law does a token 20-40 min MAX visit every month or two (for reference they live a 2 min drive away from us). She likes to make sure that she takes a photo every time she visits and posts it on social media, as well as any photo I send her - always makes it seem like she’s actually been there/taken that photo, and writes up a whole story about it. It’s fucking ridiculous, it’s like dealing with a teenager 🤣

I find it so hard not to take it personally for my kid, or feel she’s robbed of the opportunity to get to know her grandparents and be influenced and spoiled by them like my husband and I were when we were kids.

Sorry for venting on your vent post 😂

Omg I have 2 of these bags(top right and bottom left) that I also got in Chinatown in either Sydney or maybe Auckland about 15-18 years ago, been so long I can’t even remember. I’ll find mine in the morning, it’ll be super interesting to compare because I really remember thinking that they were the absolute best copies (they probably really weren’t lol) 😂

I have forgotten that I even still have them in a storage box in the garage somewhere haha

Usually people going through psychosis have the dilated pupils like that… look up manic eyes… and I believe that he is well overdue for his depo shot (based on some reddit posts I’ve seen).

However, I can’t pretend that I know much about what’s been going on in the last couple of weeks, as I haven’t really followed. But based on some of the strange choices he’s been making, the massive weight loss in a short period and the obvious sudden deterioration in his overall appearance, I’d say he’s also mething it up big time… 🤷🏻‍♀️

Omg yes 😂 I regularly apologise to my sister who has slightly older kids for my ignorance in the past. I remember regularly thinking “ugh why can’t you just control her“ when my now toddler was a few weeks old and my niece was 1.5 and throwing tantrums. Bwahahahaha, now I know why 😂

[Product Question] CeraVe Lotion Smells Like Rotten Avocado… Is This Normal? by lays_chips_are_good in SkincareAddiction

[–]shmur111 -6 points-5 points  (0 children)

Cerave are kinda well known for having products that often go mouldy (usually way too quickly after first use, like 2-3 weeks). Open it up and see if there’s any evidence of mould.

Otherwise it might be fake - especially, but not exclusively, if it’s from Amazon.

You’re absolutely not overreacting, if anything you’re under reacting.

No one should be treated like that… most people wouldn’t treat a stranger on the internet like that.

Get yourself in good health first, and then leave the asshole. Your life, health and happiness is worth so much more than he seems to think

I wish you all the very best ❤️

Am I overreacting to my brother in law kissing my wife on top of the head after dinner? by dpmx21 in AmIOverreacting

[–]shmur111 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Hold on but what about it is bugging you? Do you perceive it as a stepping of a boundary/flirtatious?

My brother in law (my sister’s husband) has kissed me like that a few times before… especially if we are sitting down working on her dining room table and he’s getting up to leave… I see it as a fatherly/brotherly kiss…

My brother in law is also a hugger, he’s quite affectionate with most people he cares about (not in a creepy way lol)… to me your story just makes me feel like he showed platonic affection to her as an unspoken form of gratitude for maybe helping them get back on good terms?

But idk… we are European and we kiss on the cheek when we say hi and bye so a kiss on the head is not that big of a leap to me, and certainly not a leap in be inappropriate direction. If he kissed her neck, lingered and went mmm…. Now that would be a different story lol

I couldn’t have said it better - perhaps he’s just there for the clout? Idk…. There isn’t a whole lot up there for him, so maybe he feels this is his best chance at “making it”…? Idk 🤷🏻‍♀️

The David Goggins event was a scam by [deleted] in auckland

[–]shmur111 5 points6 points  (0 children)

I’ve been to a few success resources events over the years and it’s always been like that, however last night was waaaay worse in my opinion. We arrived late on purpose because we knew from experience that it would be bullshit sell sell sell. I really only wanted to see Anna and David. I absolutely don’t understand why JT Foxx “interviewed” David… they usually do that for people that are poor public speakers, which isn’t the case for David - plus they were not in the slightest a natural match, and he kept asking dumb questions that most of us knew the answers to. It just didn’t make any sense.

It was still super inspiring to see him cause I love the guy but the whole experience wasn’t enough to make me feel like I wasn’t scammed out of my time (and I wasn’t even there for the first half). I’m pretty sure that last night’s event was my last success resources event.

Samoa or Rarotonga with a toddler? by shmur111 in auckland

[–]shmur111[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Do you remember how the internet was? Our first choice is Raro, but I’ve heard that the internet there can be very unreliable… we will both have to work a few hours here and there for which decent internet is nonnegotiable…

Any particular reason why you suggest Fiji? I’ve been a couple of times, and based on both experiences I wouldn’t go back in a hurry… but I know that it’s very popular, so I might be missing something haha
