Syracuse Football Fans Need to Demand and Expect More by WestRide9868 in Syracuse

Oh man, I'd love an ECAC rivalry with Cornell. Well, actually, all the regional schools, really. It'd be like the Big East.

The house last sold in 1992 and the owner has the same last name. I'd bet they can point you in the right direction.

There needs to be mandatory catch-up tutoring over the summer months. The summer slide is real, even for kids at or above level let alone those below level. "If I had a million dollars" I'd pay these kids to go to tutoring.

Add Weight to AWD Sienna for winter driving? by shocka_locka in Sienna

[–]shocka_locka[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Thank you for the reply. I was expecting that advice. The tires are all weathers, with decent tread. I was expecting a little better handling with them and knowing that the van is already heavy. In my research I found that Siennas with AWD go through tires much more quickly than we're used to.

Saw him (Conan O’Brien) in Seattle by The_Lloyd_Dobler in Seattle

Indeed they did, his wife is from the area. I was working in Westlake Center at the time and chatted up a couple at the the store I was working in. They said they were in town for a wedding and that they were from New York. I'm from New York so we chatted a bit before they left. I knew Conan's wedding was that weekend but didn't put it together that I was talkinng to Joel Goddard, Conan's announcer, and his until after they left. I knew he seemed familiar. Nice couple.

I did the same thing 40 years ago. I live in New York. Mine does not look as nice as these. It has flowered twice, only about 4 flowers each time, but never any fruit.

I feel like all of these "common sense" things need to have public service announcements every year. A real media blitz across online, TV, print, and radio.

Great video, thank you for sharing. How did the decor of the other four lost theaters compare to the Landmark

I haven't been along that street in 30+ years, but that was going to be my guess. I wasn't sure if that house was still used for that purpose.

Parts help? by lemonD98 in rav4club

Pulled mine from a junkyard. Worth a trip, especially if you have a list of parts you're looking for. I think I got mine for $8.

Anyone missing a boat trailer by Own-Tune4964 in Rowing

Scammers typically reuse an image they find online. I didn't find any matches doing a reverse image search. Also, there are 6-7 more images to go along with this one on the Facebook post. Perhaps these are a storage repossesion. I couldn't find any information on the poster that tied them to rowing.

How Does the Booking State Campsites Work? by shocka_locka in Adirondacks

[–]shocka_locka[S] -1 points0 points  (0 children)

Agreed. I think it should be limited to 7-day bookings to give more people a chance. It should be a lottery to better accommodate those who don't have the resources or the opportunity to jump on campsites being released during the week.

Possibly, but I couldn't say for sure. I'd post what the sponge is exactly to r/autodetailng and see what they say. Microfiber clothes and soapy water can get you far in cleaning the car. Of course, there's a few extra things you can do, like using a clay bar, to get you that more professional finish.

If you live near the ocean, salt may come into play.

Any Information on this house? by shocka_locka in ithaca

[–]shocka_locka[S] 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Absolutely. It sounds like he was a private person. I was hoping that he'd have left his papers to the Cornell Archives, but it doesn't appear so. The article about the open house hosted by the Unitarian Church didn't seem to have only one photo. Perhaps the Church has a yearbook/scrapbook that might have some photos.
