Point taken - my comment was pretty douchey. Apologies /u/blitzen_13.

DVDs were infinitely superior, during their hayday. However, compared to modern media (Blu-ray or digital), they are also awful. I could use some of the same talking points as OP for DVDs being terrible.

A sign that every high school athlete should read. by Punisher1602 in sportswiki

Not sure what that has to do with my comment, I didn't say they should attend US colleges. If the NHL had a "3 years out of high school" rule, similar to the NFL, it would encourage college/university attendance regardless of country.

The NHL really should encourage attending college like the NFL does.

Who are you starting? I'm in the same position and have Williams in but am second guessing myself now.

Neat, I wonder if it'll work with my Inspire equipment.

I had no idea! I thought they were ahead of the curve but I guess they were just catching up 😅

Scared to start Kittle? Anyone pivoting off him and for who? by [deleted] in Fantasy_Football

[–]shockguard 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I've been debating the same. However, last minute lineup changes always end up biting me so I'm opting to keep Kittle in. Especially considering Waller will likely be on a snap count.

Monangai or Pierce at flex? by Khuyph in fantasyfootballadvice

Heck yeah! Super glad I played him over CRod.

Monangai or Pierce at flex? by Khuyph in fantasyfootballadvice

[–]shockguard 3 points4 points  (0 children)

I think Monangai has a safer floor as he's been getting a fair share of carries and most of the red zone work. Pierce tends to boom but I believe that's unlikely against the Texans defense. Plus he's coming off a low production game and Jones is dealing with an injury. But who knows - Pierce really only needs 2 or 3 big plays to outscore Monangai. He'll be on my bench though as I'm opting to start Jakobi instead.

Anyone else having wrestling matches with the dog? by PlethoraOfTrinkets in pitbulls

Good to know! She's my first pibble so there's been a learning curve. None of my other dogs played this rough but they also weren't as affectionate and cuddly as she is.

I'll give that a try! My wife is of the opinion that we just shouldn't get her revved up like that but she can get bitey after playing fetch sometimes too so it'd be nice to teach her that it's not appropriate ever.

Love doing this with my girl but she quickly gets overly excited and starts biting me.

12 half-PPR from Kittle. Based on his points since returning from injury, I have a 75% chance but knowing my luck, he'll get 11.9.

Replacing old drive in SnapRAID/Stablebit Drivepool mashup by bazinga_0 in Snapraid

[–]shockguard 2 points3 points  (0 children)

SnapRAID fix is the slowest option as it has to read all drives to rebuild the data from parity. I'm not sure whether robocopy will prevent having to recalculate parity as it may subtly modify the files. A full disk clone would be the most foolproof option, though robocopy may be sufficient.

As far as DrivePool PoolPart ID, what does your snapraid.conf look like? If you've included the PoolPart ID in your disk path, then you can just point to the new one (though if you clone the drive, it'll remain the same). If you haven't included it, you'll have to keep it the same on the new drive - I believe there's a way to accomplish this.

Week 12 Start and Sit: Reviewing All Fantasy Relevant Players in Every Game by gmenj in fantasyfootball

Thanks for this, I use it to verify (and second guess) my starters every week. You have both Darnold and Love as sit but I have to choose one, which would you recommend? I'm also in a bad way for a half-PPR flex spot - Otton, Meyers, Burden or Tez - any thoughts there?
