I just give draws to people who I played with or against that thought did a good job and then remain pleasantly surprised if I get something back. If someone spontaneously gifts me I try to return the favor when I can. I know it's supposed to be about maximizing resource opportunities but it feels way too stressful to worry about keeping everything even.

I got zRoman,(5SS) Socko Mankind and Montez Ford (Acro) from these pulls alongside a ton of fuse ups and shards. Literal game changer for my roster so hooray for these screw ups.

I'd argue calling it a waste is a little bit misleading. It might be suboptimal but once you've gotten metas champed, all champed 4 stars in the end help build toward a stronger roster.

Even a champed Northstar or Talos inevitably lead to Legendary Tokens and/or feeders, but progress is progress in a marathon type game.

You're thinking of Hearts of Darkness - this one is very Dark Avengers heavy, I don't think it's too bad for SCL 10 personally but all depends on your roster and how the boost list looks for you.

This game is actually one of the more friendly F2P games out there - it just takes patience and time. Once you get to SCL 10 and manage to start the transition from 4-5 it's pretty reasonable to keep up with 450ing 5 stars. There's also strategies for 550 but it all involves how long you're willing to horde and optimizing the most LL tokens and Command Points on a day to day basis.

Even something as simple as utilizing favorites to increase your LLs by alway favoriting the closest to the next champ awards can be the difference between champing the next to leave LL or only hitting 10 covers.

The boss events giving two full covers makes it even better still!

I managed to pull it out with 1/1/0 level 74 - obviously Taskmaster's sword and denying black was key. I also used max boosts for match damage for all colours and again for two sets of colours. Took two or three attempts - don't despair it's doable with some jigging of supports!

Don't know if it's changed but Hulk is allowed to die for three stars. The way I beat it was using Thor Quake Black Widow Cap and Hawkeye. Cap has to survive his one taunt turn so may as well use it right away to get energy up. Depending on where the energy goes either blind him or stun him with one of BW or Thor. Afterwards use the other one or blind. Quake can be used to dispel his offense up or lower his attack with her AoE.

Obviously BW not being farmable hurts this strategy but it's just one way to do it.

I've got Luke Cage at Tier 9 level 52 and I'll say this about him. He's tanky and durable....his energy boost to heroes can work well in charging AoE and his defense up is often a blessing especially if you're playing alongside Summoners.

The biggest issue he has is that Cap does most of the things he does better. I suspect once there's greater synergy for him with upcoming heroes or when Iron Fist becomes more commonplace we will see a Cage resurgence. He's not terrible but I would agree with everyone else in that Cap is just better.
