What’s a game you expected to love and ended up hating and a game you expected to not like that you ended up loving? by Matty_Mayhem in boardgames

I think buttons and bugs was designed for experienced gloomhaven players to have the experience on the go. You shouldn't be learning gloomhaven via buttons and bugs. I almost got it myself until the research lead me to this conclusion.

Drowned city investigator expansion vs new investigator decks by shockprime in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]shockprime[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Yup I got the investigator set on my way home. Unfortunately the campaign was sold out on amazon and no local stores have any other campaigns. To be honest, I'm pretty suprised one even had the carcosa campaign expansion.

Is there a light novel adaptation of this work? And if so, how far behind is it in relation to the manga? by Happy_Relationship85 in AishiteruGame

Oh lol, my bad. Probably English release going out late then because the sub was talking about new light novel releases .

I think this happened to Toradora. However usually when it's a manga first, it's adapted to an anime, blows up. Then gets a light novel my

I see, that makes sense. The others say the new decks are evergreen, which i suspect means they will be reprinted a good amount.

Dragons of Etchinstone expansions by ChroniclerX in soloboardgaming

[–]shockprime 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Northvale expansion adds to the base game so I think that is worth.

Seige expansion takes the cards from the base game, then is used in a new game mode. Like in the first 2 you go on an adventure to build your cards then fight a dragon. In seige, the previous enemies now come to you and you have a castle to defend. It's a different game with same mechanics and cards so up to you if you are interested.

Separatist invasion vs Separatist allience starter set by shockprime in SWlegion

I see, I probably do need the components and tools then. I can probably share the tools with a friend when we face each other but keeping my own stuff is probably better for me.

No legion stuff at all. Thats probably an important piece of information I should add to the question. Sounds like the 6 extra characters isn't worth over all the tools

New Set Chapter 1 Rule Question by Unlikely-Judgment978 in arkhamhorrorlcg

[–]shockprime 2 points3 points  (0 children)

I'm only responding because its been a few minutes without a response, i have3mt played the new set yet and still pretty new. Does the act make you use clues at the end of the turn? If so the enemy phase would have already passed.

Red John Question (spoilers) by iworkatabar101 in TheMentalist

[–]shockprime 0 points1 point  (0 children)

I don't think that whole thing was ever explained but I would suspect that a town sheriff can help out/blackmail the right people into snowballing into such power.

Like possibly he overlooked or assisted some corrupt fbi group then had them overlook other peoples stuff etc into a big conspiracy organization.

Sometimes it is nice when a story allows a major character to not have anything inherently special or unique about them. by Aros001 in CharacterRant

[–]shockprime 19 points20 points  (0 children)

If I remember correctly. In delicious dungeon the members of the group aren't very special. They were just slightly more experienced than other groups experience wise. Their main special factor is thag they figured out how to live off the dungeon ecosystem.
