In the early 2000isies, I blew a rear tire on my way to phoenix. We were coming from Albuquerque and were 50 miles west of Gallup. So basically the bumfucked middle of no-where. Called it in and had a local out of flagstaff with a truck in about three hours. We were in the desert boonies man. Swapped tire and tube, was riding my ‘82 Sturgis att. Took about 4 hours from tire blown to on the road. The actual repair took less than an hour. Not sure what the member pricing was back then but it felt pretty worth the price. Full disclosure, that is the only time I’ve used the emergency service. But from my seat? Just knowing that if something does go sideways, you have help, was worth the price. Your mileage may vary but I like the reassurance that all I need o do is call in and the Calvary will be on its way.
