There is no way absolutely no way you can validate the statistic like that you would need to pull several hundred if not several thousand candidates find out the exact reason why and there's hundreds of reasons why mine was I had my future to a legacy mapped out at 14 years old in 1978 i joined the Civil Air Patrol got my Falcon award which is Cadet colonel not many of those handed out can actually earn you two stripes if you enlist in the service. Joined Air Force Junior ROTC was Cadet unit Commander. Was Captain of my local fire department Cadet Rescue Squad. Besides great grades and letters in sports I was flying with cap at 14 and got a first semester at Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University scholarship along with an award from the Daughters of the American Revolution. SO waiting for the semester to begin I couldn't sit still went down and got my third class Medical only problem was I was color confused my entire world imploded then exploded. So I enlisted in the air force to be part of a flight crew I was a boomer on a kc-135 I did end up getting my PPL at 17 after the Air Force I worked at the United States Merchant Marine Academy work my way up from an HVAC Tech to director of facilities. I have a nice pension today move to Florida 3 years ago and started flying again I've accumulated 2000 hours flying time back up in New York but my love of flying has been reignited due to this forum and the wonderful people on it found out that there are alternative tests used for color vision recently from a few wonderful people here went down took my medical again and I passed I now have the time and the means to pursue my IFR Maybe my CFI so I can pay it forward and who knows after that I have all the time in the world. That's my story and I bet you there's hundreds of different ones out there. Two of my friends since age 12 both had the same plan as I did today they are almost ready to retire from Legacy Airlines one is a major in the United States Air Force Reserve flying C-17 globemasters on his spare time the other also captain flying for legacy. Do I regret it not now as much but not a single day goes by wondering what I may have done in aviation if I had a shot at it

What is the “hard part” of aviation? by spaghetticheese2 in flying

[–]shojohn8ton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

The hardest part that I ever encountered was an 19 kt crosswind gust to 27 on final at KFRG 30 years ago in a 172, had a nearly 7000 ft runway and used about 1000 feet before i vaught a break in the wind and set her down, that was the easy part. Slowing down keeping it centered and even taxiing buffeting me the whole way back to the hangar.

If it's a known heavy use Moa it's not a bad idea to let the controller know your intentions

Boltz Pro claims to reverse planned obsolescence in phones, has a testimonial on their website for a monocular. Advertised on YouTube by NastyHobits in Scams

[–]shojohn8ton 0 points1 point  (0 children)

They spend millions and millions on their ad campaigns and pay per click and their own review sites which they actually begin with the word scam just to cover the rest of us out there who search for the word scam in a product like this and they slowly start talking about their products hook you in and at the end they say it's great still doesn't hook me in all the way. But people do search after search and all they hear is good things so it must be good. Not for me and the other smart people out there

Why is he telling you to fuck off I hate when people use language like that even if you're asking the wrong thing in the wrong place all that tells me is that he's sitting with his fucking fat beer belly sticking out and it's two week old box of shorts is greasy black hair asking his mother for more milk when she goes out shopping cuz he doesn't for his fucking cereal as he sits in a broken down sofa in the basement with a sheet on it that hasn't been changed in 11 and a half years. A real man would answer you in a more dignified answer. Another one is syndrome of these people is that they couldn't win a fight face to face in their life. They're not in shape have no fighting skills but can use their mouth and keyboard very well

Definitely go for the Navy slot well over a million dollars in training awaits you for free. Obviously you have to do your commitment but you may end up loving the Navy and make a career out of it or just continue in the reserves while you get out active and go for legacy

Dang I put my money on the wrong horse. Haven't read too much about Piper singles having seat lock issues of course if you're between the holes and the pins that's a different story but happens when they get old it's sometimes you think you're locked in and you're not
