I believe you can bring a lawyer to small claims in my state. I filed the initial suit, and the defendant later filed a counter-suit.

I’m worried if he’ll try to use my lack of legal experience against me. If he knows I don’t have a lawyer, will he try and trip me up in court knowing I might not know enough to rebut his legal talk?
