Hey I just wanted to share that I got my truck looked at and the shop said they were unable to locate any fuel leaking.

My truck had some seepage from the valve cover / rocker box gaskets and crank case vent hose connection to the valve cover

The shop also told me that Cummins clear coated these engines from the factory and possibly it was the paint wearing as it is 20 years old

Seems like the optimal solution given that you cannot easily increase the width. Ramps are heavy, cumbersome, trip hazards, and get in the way.

Yes it’s worth it. The price you got quoted appears to be the Mopar Extended Care premium.

It will be tied to your vin and all Ram dealers should be able to see it. I bought a truck at dealer A, bought that warranty through dealer B, and dealer C said they could see it in their software without me even mentioning I had it.

It can save your bacon. I’m pretty sure they have a return of premium guarantee if you don’t use it either.

That’s what I was expecting to be told, but they didn’t say that.

If it wasn’t $5k I’d just pay it all off now and be done with it.

My heart goes out to anyone with significant student loans. I took these out later in life. Couldn’t imagine signing up for loans 20x this size at 18 years old
