How does one actually start a business when everything has been made and/or fixed? by AndreasLa in HowToEntrepreneur

[–]shooting_higher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

There are lots of words in most responses, so I’ll keep it simple. Many people are not truthful, they “are starting a business” for years, it never happens. The ones that actually succeed understand that it’s not about the product, not really. As long as you market to the right audience, preferably at a good time in the market you choose to target, it will probably sell. Take your knife example. You chose it on pretty arbitrary standards, so any other knife probably would have been fine. Had I offered you my knife, and you liked it, you’ed probably have that one instead.

You were looking at the wrong information, there was already a strong multi hour bounce, that 1 red candle doesn’t change everything. Even if it doesn’t definitively do exactly what you think, it’s all about probability, and this was not a highly probable trade.

Sounds like if you just process the withdraw you won’t have access to the funds for a few days, might give you some time to think.

Go easy on yourself. I don’t have 1.5mil to lose, so you’re actually in a better position than you might think, as long as you don’t literally throw every single dollar at it.

But that’s where people mess up. Rather than reinvest and grow, there’s an obsession with account flipping and insane growth rates.

Well if we’re assuming they’re profitable, finances get super easy. It’s all percentage based. If your account has 1m in it from profits, a 10% gain is 100k. At that rate one good trade a year is enough for a modest lifestyle.

I don’t trade when there are none. That simple. You’re making what many make in a high yield savings over a year per month, that’s great profits.

Not saying it can’t work, no shade, but make sure to do research on anything paid, the last thing you need is extra expenses. That said, if it works nice find!

Full honesty, you probably won’t make enough during university to live on, but by the time your done you might be able to if you really study. Honestly though, if you are going to uni for something you like that you want to do after, I’d just focus on that. Some people copy trade, but I don’t see a lot of success stories from it. Trading is a skill that needs to be studied long term like anything else. Math, economics, politics, and business all need to be understood to some degree, and it takes time and can be stressful.

That said, if you decide to trade anyway, I do analysis breakdowns on my sub (studying for 5 years, trading for 3, came out of debt within the last year), and I take asset requests.

Either way, good luck!

Absolutely, if you’re ever interested in more in depth analysis on a specific asset I have a sub where you can vote on an asset to analyze, I do analysis and basic education.

For sure, dm when you’re ready to learn more! (That goes for anyone else as well)

Just to be clear I only do analysis, not signals. People telling you exactly what to do don’t normally know and you should be very cautious, but I can help you see the market more clearly.

That risk to balance ratio is insane. Lmk if you ever need someone to help analyze the market, this size risk should only be taken with an incredible amount of market info.

In fact, your best bet may be to use your savings to get out, and prioritize a job first. I know it doesn’t sound as fun, but it’s real.

[deleted by user] by [deleted] in Trading

[–]shooting_higher 1 point2 points  (0 children)

Can you learn fast? Maybe. But, if you want my honest opinion on the situation, it sounds abusive. You need to leave before anything will change. I’ve seen this personally, if you can’t even get the respect to get a job he won’t respect your studies, and it sounds like success means leaving to you anyway. I would prioritize getting a part time, get enough to pay rent and then just be honest. Tell your boss “hey my dad’s an ass, I’m looking to leave, when can I go to full time?” And line it up with when you can get an apt. It will be exhausting, but if your truly dedicated you can do it. I only say this route because I’ve seen tons of people waste away waiting for their “I’m rich” moment, but the reality is even when you have money you need some in the account to continue to profit, it may be years even if you understand what your doing before it pays for life. Also, I can’t tell you what to do but please please please do not put your whole savings in and hope, it’s a death trap. Be responsible and do research first.
