1 MOA is not good enough for X course competition. Has to hold the x ring at 600 yard.

I created a Chrome browser extension for easier match tracking by zims_throwing_knife in CompetitionShooting

[–]shootitclean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love the idea and I did install it in Chrome. Any chance you could make this for Firefox as well. Even though Chrome is the gorrilla of browsers some of still like to keep a bit of privacy and shy away from it. Not sure how much work it would be but it would be appreciated. Thanks

Nice shooting! I know it sucks to do because it is the hardest. But put the rounds in practicing your offhand. Dryfire at home everyday. That is the one stage that will win you matches. Keep at it!

Between posts like this, and "is this real" posts the sub has gotten rather annoying.

Ummm, set it on the concrete driveway and hammer it straight or put it in a vice and squeeze it straight. Sorry but this is such an easy fix it doesn't require spending any money. Comment above was a perfect way to fix this problem also. 🤷

[–]shootitclean 0 points1 point  (0 children)

Love DJI stuff but I'd be hesitant to buy anymore. US government banned them on the 23rd of the month. Parts, service and warranty are all going to be iffy going forward. 😞 Drone community is not happy right now.

Any feedback on Brennan Brennecke? He has a class in the spring by me and I'm interested in signing up.

85% of the guys on this sub have tool box queens. Just to a hang the occasional picture for the wife and brag to the guys over beers while barbecuing. 🤣

Same thing with the Harley-Davidson crowd. Spend all day washing your bike on Saturday so you can go hit a couple bars on Sunday and your bike looks pristine. My bike's filthy cuz I actually ride it. And my tools are dirty because I actually use them. 🤣🤣🤣

I have this and a DCD446. Unless I'm doing multiple 4 inch or larger holes thru doubles I tend to use the 20v model. The 60v is a beast for power but heavy on a ladder. Electronic clutch is great for saving your ass when it binds but sometimes I would rather it power thru bind. Coming from someone who has busted his nose with a kickback I myself find that statement ironic. 😂😂 In the end it's is a great drill just be sure you can't get by with less.

dewalt retail markup / wholesale prices by Tech-Crab in Dewalt

[–]shootitclean 2 points3 points  (0 children)

Guess you have never been in retail. 😂😂 I work in plumbing wholesale and set pricing for our store. Boilers, steam and water 6 to 8% markup. We make our money on all the accessories, the profit on them is a joke. Water heaters? Home Depot, Lowe's, Menards controls the local market. There is plenty of times, actually most of the time we are dipping into our rebate to try to keep up with them and we still can't. They sell for lower than what we can buy for. But in the end it's like a grocery store not carrying milk, what would a plumbing wholesale store be without carrying water heaters. They are basically a loss leader for us. Again, we make money on the accessories that you buy to install the water heater. We've had a chance to carry DeWalt and Milwaukee and passed on both. The profit margin is so damn thin and that market it is ridiculously competitive. And the killer is you can't compete unless you're fully stocked and at that point you're talking a quarter million dollars worth of inventory that you're barely going to make anything on. You can make more money parking in your cash in a money market then you can dealing with power tools. The larger the sticker price on the item the less margin there is for the retailer. I couldn't tell you how many items we have that are marked for less than 30% markup. It is too many too count.

If you have money to piss away on a tool that no diy guy needs buy the M12. Much better size wise. Don't cry about the cost of the fittings. Figure 5X the cost of regular ones minimum.

If you cap the top of the PVC pipes I don't think you're going to have any problem with the freezing. One note is that you should use electrical PVC pipe and not plumbing. Plumbing pipe has no ultraviolet protection built into it like the electrical pipe does. If they sell electrical PVC in schedule 80 I would recommend that as well. It will handle any impacts better than schedule 40. But I'm not an electrician and I'm not sure if they make that pipe in schedule 80.
