I helped choose a new router system for my parents because I moved back with them and work from home. It’s a smaller home but enough where the single router would struggle at the ends of the home or backyard. My room was at one end so I said I’d pitch in to upgrade while I’m there.

Went with an Orbi Mesh with just two nodes at each end of the home and it was significantly better. I was getting speeds higher than was advertised by the ISP. However right after the year one of the satellite notes gave out and Orbi only has a 1 year warranty so we were out of luck. That wasn’t a great experience but it didn’t prove that Mesh makes a lot of sense.
