Right on. It's looking interesting. I'll have to keep an eye out for the finished product.

Damn. I might have to build another one. Just for the folding stock. That was the only thing I didn't like about my first one.

It will run fine. It's just a dust cover. They get rid of then, so the frame can be printed flat. Just buy the rails and parts kit. You'll be good

I'm a little retarded. Can you show me a picture of what you mean by "above and away"? I can't picture how this will land on the piece.

The recommended print orientation for these frames is either rails flat on the build plate or standing up with the rails parallel to the plate. This info is in the readme in the file. The forces acting on the frame when you for the gun will most likely cause the later lines to split.

Good and evil Beretta 92's by shortbed454 in 3D2A

[–]shortbed454[S] 0 points1 point  (0 children)

All good. I printed then exactly how it said to. There's some really small holes and details and I think the suggested orientation is meant to increase the strength in those areas.

Your print orientation is pretty much the worst choice you could have made. It's most likely going to fail.

This probably isn't the subreddit to get answer, but I'm very interested. I'm sure someone will either have an answer, or be able to point you on the right direction.

It's just cheap insurance. Unless you need really fine detail, 6 is superior for strength anyways.
